This time BYOC event was different

Honorable Iqbal Mustafa Khan revealed an overview of "Technology Sales"

He has his own tech company (Product based)

I've taken notes during his conversation, let me share it with you:

1. Techn services companies are more profitable than product-based tech companies.
2. Tech services-based companies have a low customers base, but they earn more profit than product based companies.
3. For Pakistan IT Services companies, if you want to acquire maximum tech sales from the USA, "ensure your physical presence in the USA".
4. Work on the "Resource Augmentation" model. It scales up business in less time.
5. Support each other, it helps a lot.

Post 30 minutes valuable session, I shake hands/greeted with:

What happened in 1969?

Let me tell you!

1969 allowed us to meet & greet new faces on earth
1969 offered us the best environment to share ideas

This time, Waheed Muhammad accompanied me & we traveled to a new networking  event

OPEN Islamabad arranged a networking event last Friday

I was excited because I had never been to this venue & to greet new faces.

The first gem I greeted was our beloved Nauman Faridi, we are ex-DPL friends.

The second gem was Alachisoft CEO, Mr. Iqbal Mustafa.

If you don't know about Mr. Iqbal Mustafa, you're missing "everything"!

His knowledge of the technology industry is unparalleled, and if I'm not wrong, we sat with him for more than 45 minutes.

A new face I encountered was Miss Saba Javed, an active IWCCI member.

Again I greeted Salman Dar, a truly inspiring personality he has.

My learning during the event:
1. To become a natural influencer, you need extensive knowledge and data.
2. Society requires leadership & guidance.
3. Maximize your revenue potential by exploring multiple options instead of limiting yourself to just one or two.
4. You should have a clear purpose for meeting new people at the event.
5. Listen more, talk less.

The event’s uniqueness lay in its open-air setting.

We enjoyed Samosas, Jalebi, Club Sandwiches, and chicken roast.

We returned to the office at 10:00 pm.

PS: Chairman PASHA was also present during the event.

The saloon worker was unhappy

I inquired about the reason for his unhappiness

He said, "He has been working in a saloon for the last 15 years", but the money is fulfilling his expenses, so he stopped talking.

I said, "Have you to pay a loan to anyone"?

He said, "No"

I said, "Are you facing issues in saving money"?

He said, "No"

I said, "Is this job making you feel unhappy"?

He looked at my face in the mirror and said "No one has ever asked these questions", 

Now his mood has become a little better, he started a conversation with me over

He inquired my name and said, "Brother Shahzad, I'm fed up with this work",

I replied, "You are not fed up, you are not motivated"!

You need motivation in terms of money and energy,

I promptly said, "Start your own business, your experience is mind-blowing"

He replied, "Give me a road map, and I will do it"

As per my experience, I guided him & made him completely understand.

He said, "That's great, I'll eminently think over it", he additionally said in the local language, "You made my day"!

Friends,

Never hesitate to ask questions! (open-ended/close-ended)
Be confident in your abilities & knowledge

The prospect will never tell the original reason for taking your services

It's you who has to dig out the hidden gems!

In this case, he was unhappy because of not having his own business (original reason)
