My current role sees me as a founder of a STEM (science, tech, engineering and math) based publishing company, The Pretty Geeky that creates international quality, high value table-top games to educate and entertain young minds. They are not just super fun to play with but also help demystify STEM concepts - remove fear and add a hug dollop of fun to these usually dreaded subjects - and encourage quality family time minus a screen! Before this, I've been an advertising professional on the creative side - my last role was as Senior Creative Director at a multinational advertising agency . The joining of dots happened between the above mentioned roles when I was struck with an insight, (the crucial factor which is often the start of many a big idea - in advertising or otherwise): that children often drop STEM subjects in their higher school years has largely to do with a lack of games and tools that would help build a healthy liking for them in their younger years. Given the omnipresence of technology and STEM in our daily lives, it was imperative to change that narrative. I decided that The Pretty Geeky and me would help do that.
