I’m Siddharth Flora - Founder, Creative (trying to be), and eternal student of entrepreneurship.

I didn’t start my design studio just to design websites. I started it to test myself. To see if I could build something from zero, with no safety net, and turn it into a business that creates impact.

Because for me, business isn’t just about clients, revenue, or growth charts. It’s about building a mindset.

> A mindset that embraces failure as data.
> A mindset that views leadership as service.
> A mindset that sees business as the ultimate dojo for personal growth.

Right now, I’m in the arena, building Bureau of Web Projects from the ground up. 

But my mission goes beyond design or agency life. It’s about discovering what it really takes to build something meaningful: the discipline, the resilience, the emotional challenges, and the small daily wins that compound into something greater.

Here on LinkedIn, I share the raw journey of a founder in progress,  the highs, the lows, and the lessons that anyone building a career, a business, or even a better version of themselves can take away.

I don’t claim to have it all figured out. 

But I believe this: business is one of the best ways to build character. 

And that’s the game I’ve committed to playing.

Mental Familiarity > Consistency...

Here’s the shift I see coming in 2026

More brands, businesses, and creators will show up online.

With AI making content easier to produce, everyone will experiment more. 

More posts. More formats. More noise.

Hence, Posting regularly will stop being impressive. It’ll just be expected.

The real separator won’t be how often you post.

It’ll be how (FAMILIAR) you feel.

When someone will discover your page, they won’t be evaluating your content.

They’ll be subconsciously asking:

- “Do I understand how they think?”
- “Do I know what working with them would feel like?”
- “Do I trust their judgment?”

If the answer isn’t clear, they’ll keep scrolling.

Not because your work isn’t good, but because unfamiliarity will create friction....

and in my experience Mental Familiarity removes that friction.

- It makes your ideas feel predictable in a good way.
- It turns your point of view into something people recognize.
- It builds trust before a single conversation starts.

This is why some brands convert quietly while others stay loud but stuck.

One builds attention.
The other builds belief.

Hence,

Consistency will get you seen.
But, Familiarity will get you chosen.

And as the internet gets noisier, that difference will matter more than ever...

So the big question is not "How consistently you share", but "How Familiar you are becoming?"

One thing I was clear about when I decided to start my own web design studio:

I wanted to make my own rules.

Not ego rules.
Not power plays.

Rules that protect sanity.
Rules that protect creative energy.
Rules that actually help clients grow, not just keep them “happy.”

Before this, I worked at a marketing agency.
And if you’ve been there, you know the drill.
Client changes their mind at 6 PM.
Everything becomes urgent.
The work shifts, timelines blur, weekends disappear.

Some days that’s fine.

But living on the edge all the time slowly kills the work and the person doing it.

As someone who needs space to think and create, that life wasn’t sustainable for me.

So when I started my own business, I made a decision:

I’ll respect my clients’ boundaries, but mine need to be respected too.

Not by force.
By clarity.

I wrote down a few non-negotiables and shared them upfront.

Some founders I knew told me,
“Are you crazy? You’ll scare clients away.”

And honestly, that was the point.

I don’t want to work with everyone.
I want to work with people who see these rules and think, “Yeah, that makes sense.”

The rules were simple:

→ We don’t work for free
→ Changes need at least 3 days (anything faster is either scoped or charged)
→ We don’t take projects below $3,000
→ We don’t proceed without a basic marketing plan
 (a website without distribution is a setup for disappointment)
→We only start when we have what we need
 (with flexibility for solo founders who are still figuring things out)

Saying this out loud wasn’t easy.
We said no to many projects because of it.

But the ones we said yes to?

Same set of founders.
Respectful conversations.
Clear expectations.

The work got better.
Relationships got healthier.
Projects finished on time or earlier.

That’s when it clicked for me.
As a founder, sometimes you have to bend reality a little to create the conditions for exceptional work.

Make the rules.
Not to control.

But to protect what matters.

It’s your business. You’re allowed to operate it in a way that lets you do your best work...

Our goal for 2026 at Form & Intent is simple:  to say “no” more often.

2025 was a year of deliberate experimentation.

- We worked with inbound clients we didn’t actively pursue.
- Partnered with agencies as an outsourced design studio.
- And took on projects priced well below our usual threshold.

Not by accident, but by choice.

- We wanted to understand new markets.
- How businesses are thinking in an AI-heavy world.
- And where human-led design still holds real weight.

That clarity brought us back to our core.

In 2026, we’re focused on collaborating with 15 Interior Design Studios and Creative Founders.

+ Helping them build websites with a clear point of view.
+ Sites that carry personality.
+ That position the studio as a brand, not a brochure or a template.

Wishing everyone a thoughtful, intentional New Year.

Last year, we sent close to 250 emails...
And reached out to around 100 people through Instagram DMs.

Same intent.
Very different responses.

Emails weren’t the problem.
Most were opened. Some were clearly read.

But DMs worked better for our audience.
Not because DMs are smarter.

Because they’re easier.
People seem to choose the path with the least friction.

If they want to say no, they type it and move on.
If they’re curious, they reply and the conversation starts.

No pressure to draft a “proper reply.”
Just a human response in the moment.

That’s where DMs helped us.
Not to sell.
Just to start conversations.

Email still mattered.
Just not first.

Once there was context, some back and forth, some familiarity, email helped us slow things down. 

Explain intent. 
Share details. 
Go deeper.

One honest thing I learned though:
DMs only work if you actually feel present on the platform. 

Not because of follower count.
But because people recognize your name. Your thinking. Your tone.
( basically how strong or familiar your personal brand is ) 

Without that, a DM feels random.
And randomness gets ignored.

So we stopped cold pitching.
We became intentional about building real touchpoints first.
Comments. Story replies. 

Small exchanges over a few days, sometimes a week.
If familiarity doesn’t form, we don’t DM.

Because without it, outreach feels forced, for both sides.

And when we do reach out, it’s never a pitch.
Just a simple question that opens a conversation.

This isn’t advice.
Just something we noticed while doing the work...

Being a solo founder is harder than it looks from the outside...

There’s the part everyone talks about: the thrill of building, the obsession, the feeling that you’re finally doing something on your own terms. 

That part is real. And it’s beautiful.

But there’s another side that doesn’t get said out loud enough.

The silent days. No feedback. No validation.
Just you, your work, and your thoughts.

You start questioning things that once felt obvious.
Your ability. Your clarity. Your confidence.

Is this even the right direction? Or am I just convincing myself it is?

When there’s no response from clients, no signals from the market, the doubt gets louder.
And it’s strange because on paper, you’re doing what you love.

Meanwhile, everyone around you seems settled. 
Jobs. Teams. Conversations. Structure.

(And thanks to Instagram everyone is a travel vlogger now.)

And you’re building alone.

Some days it feels like living the dream.
Some days it feels isolating in a way you didn’t anticipate.

I don’t have a conclusion here. Just an observation I’m sitting with.
