It’s my BIRTHDAY today.

When I woke up, I thought about how I could make it special.

I’m in LA. The sun’s out.

I could’ve hired a yacht and thrown the biggest party LA has ever seen.

I’m a multimillionaire.

I don’t have to work today. I don’t have to work tomorrow.

But here I am… working.

Because that’s how strong my purpose is.

When I was 15, I was homeless.

I still remember how it felt being spat on.

I thought my life was over and all I wanted was some help.

So what drives me every single day…

Is knowing there are people out there who feel that exact same way right now.

Just trying to survive, not even being given the chance to consider their dream.

That’s why I can’t stop. Even on my birthday.

Because every time I post a video, run an event, or help someone pitch…

Someone out there remembers they have a dream too.

And that might just be the moment their whole life changes.

So when I asked myself this morning:

“How can I make my birthday special?”

The answer was obvious.

Help someone else find a purpose like mine.

We need to stop glorifying buying houses.

I see people celebrating “buying” their first homes at 21.

Not realising they’ve signed themselves up 30+ years of entrapment.

They’ve bought their own prison cell.

I bought this house outright.

No mortgage and no debt.

But I bought it at 45.

I rented for years. I moved where the opportunity was. I kept my costs lean.

And I built an income stream that set me free.

So yes, I waited until I had spare cash to buy this house outright.

And it’s worth it because now no one owns a piece of my life.

Freedom > Flex.

A mortgage has been normalised. We’ve been desensitised to debt.

Whether it’s “good” or “bad” debt, it keeps you tied to working for someone else.

Everyone pushes you to get a mortgage, buy the car, swipe the credit card…

But no one explains what that really means.

Think about it:

If you’ve got a £500/month car payment and your income comes from selling your time…

How many hours are you handing over, just to make the car company richer?

You’re literally exchanging your freedom for something that owns you.

Here’s what I teach instead:

Instead, find something that allows you to own your time, not sell it.

And avoid debt at all costs.

I once lost one of my best friends over something stupid….

If only I’d seen this post 10 years ago.

I lent him money, when he needed help.

When he didn’t pay it back…

I felt betrayed.

I let it eat away at me and held onto that resentment.

I swore to never speak to him again.

But doing so, ended up costing me something far more valuable than money…

I lost a relationship with someone close to me.

And it was all my fault. If I hadn’t expected the money back from the start.

It never would have happened.

My friend needed help and instead of giving it to him.

I offered him a business transaction.

If I help you. You NEED to help me back.

That’s not how life should work and definitely not how best friends should treat each other.

If I'd have just helped him from the start.

We would still be friends today.

And by now, he probably would have paid me back too.

So the lesson from this is…

Most of the things you’re angry about today won’t matter at all in five years.

But the people you lose over them might.

Let the small things go.

And protect what really matters.

Tax the rich more! 🤓

Yep, great idea.

Not like the rich will just jump on a plane to Dubai and support their economy with all their resources.

This is a lazy solution to generate clicks and false hope.

But I have REAL solutions to hold the rich accountable.

The solution is education.

From the ages 3–18 you’re prepared for 2 options...

a) Six figures of debt and 4 more years at a desk.  
b) Spend the rest of your life in a job you hate.

It’s broken.

But there’s a third option…

An option no one tells you about.

The rich will hate me for saying it, but that option is building something.

Building businesses that solve the world's problems.

If more people had this option available to them…

People would live with more purpose.

The companies they build would create more jobs.

While less people would feel forced to go to university.

Spaces would be reserved for people who are truly passionate about their degrees…

Like doctors or nurses.

And these graduates would be paid more competitive rates due to a higher demand.

Sounds like a win-win, right?

But not for everyone.

The only people who lose… are the people in power now.

The big bosses.

They’d be forced to pay better wages due to less graduates to choose from.

Forced to compete with better businesses due to more being created.

Forced to give back to the economy in a way that actually works.

And that’s bad news for them.

So instead of lazy answers like “tax the rich”...

Educate the people.

Don’t make it harder to build businesses in the UK. 

Make it easier.

And it all starts with education.

Most of my audience are students…

Think about that for a second.

These are the same kids who are told they're lazy.

That they don't care.

That they're not paying attention.

And yet… they spend their free time watching content that teaches them something.

So what’s really going on?

It’s not that kids don’t want to learn.

It’s just that the current curriculum isn’t appealing to them.

It’s still preparing kids for a world that doesn’t exist anymore.

And it’s not preparing them for entrepreneurship, creativity, or even basic financial literacy.

That’s why we need change and we need it now.

I’m SO excited to announce that The National Careers Challenge Grand Finals 2025 will be taking place at The Barbican Centre, London on July 8th.

I’ll be there, listening to the bold ideas and big dreams from the next generation.

Young people who are being taught stuff they want to learn

Kids who just need someone to believe in them.

This is how we fix the system.

Not by blaming the kids…

But by showing them a better way.

It’s 5:30am on a bank holiday…

And I’m working.

I’m a millionaire.

I don’t have to work.

I’ve made more money working less before.

But I’ve never worked harder than I do now.

Not because I believe “the harder you work, the luckier you get.”

I don’t. That line is bullsh\*t.

I’m working because I want to.

Because I love it.

This week I’ll clock 80+ hours and not one will feel like a chore.

Right now, I’m watching doorbell pitches for the Dream Machine.

It’s not work for me. It’s why I’m alive.

I start early so I can eat breakfast with my son by 8am.

That’s success to me.

But don’t copy me.

Just find something that matters.

Because success has nothing to do with how many hours you work.

And everything to do with how much you love the hours you do.

Whether it’s a mile or an inch…

If you’re moving, you’re winning.

Most people live their lives stationary.

They see social media and think that’s the norm…

But social media can be deceiving.

It isn’t always a real depiction of the world.

Progress is actually rarer than you think.

So stop beating yourself up
for not being “further ahead.”

And instead, compare yourself to who you were 6 months ago

If you’ve moved forward, even a little…

You’re on the right path.

Cut yourself some slack ❤️

I sold out.

This is the number 1 biggest thing you have to do to be successful:

Take risk.

I know it can be daunting.

But I promise you, it’s worth it.

Because without risk…

You simply won’t make it.

I used to think I was just unlucky.

That some people were chosen.

And I wasn’t one of them.

But I was wrong.

And not just wrong...

I was MAKING myself unlucky.

By believing I wasn’t lucky,...

I scared myself out of taking risks.

And risk, is what creates luck.

STOP making me look like a hypocrite!

I’ve spent years telling people never to discount their products…

And yet you’ve slashed the price of my book like it’s on a clearance rack.

People think it's me deciding the price…

It’s not!

Every time you discount it, you lower how people perceive its value.

And that’s frustrating, because this book isn’t cheap.

It’s one of the most valuable things someone could buy.

So Amazon. Let me give you a free marketing lesson…

Don’t decrease the price. Instead, increase the value.

Add an upsell. Throw in a bonus. Create a bundle.

People aren’t looking for cheap stuff.

They’re looking for stuff that’s worth it.

Discounting products is sending the complete wrong message.

So please, stop discounting my damn book.

Maybe this is just your way of helping more people dream.

And if that’s the case…

Let’s do it together. But properly this time.

Not by lowering the value. But by raising what people get from it.

Ever wondered what life as a millionaire is like?

Yesterday was wild. Here’s a peek:

10am – Filmed a Shopify ad

11am – TikTok Live

11:30am – Helped a dreamer @razalph with £1,000 to kickstart his idea

12pm – Lunch with Jamie Oliver

2pm – Helped another dreamer with their brand “Snaffle” (big things coming… Jamie Oliver’s weighing in too 👀)

3pm – Gave @kemisnotcool £1,000 to chase his dream

3:45pm – Met 250+ people at Carnaby Street, heard their dreams, made a YouTube vid about it

5pm – TV call with my US partners about “60 Day Hustle” + a new Netflix show

6pm – Met with my team to plan next steps for HelpBnk

I am SHATTERED.

But I loved every second of it.

This is why “work-life balance” is a lie.

This is my life. And I love it.

Tomorrow I’ll chill with my son and tell him all about it.

Some times I'm required to spend more time "working".

Other times I can spend more times with my family.

Trying to "balance" it myself with ridged schedules is impossible. It come's naturally and that's the way it should be.

23 years ago, I applied to win a Webby... and wasn't even nominated.

Today, I've officially won one.

Back in 2002, we were working day and night, trying to get things off the ground.

When we entered to win a Webby, we were hopeful…

“This could be the bit of luck we need”

But we failed.

I told myself I didn’t care.

But the truth is…

It stung.

I wanted to prove we were good enough.

And I thought that winning a Webby would do just that.

Since then, I’ve come a long way…

I’ve built and sold companies.

Made millions. Lost millions.

Been loved. Been hated.

But most importantly…

I found my purpose.

So last week, when I found out I was nominated…

I thought back to that version of me.

And how this time…

It felt completely different.

Because now, I didn’t care about the piece of metal I’d receive.

I don’t need an award, to prove what we’re doing has meaning.

I see it every day, in the people we help.

We’re changing lives, and that means more to me than any award.

Ironically…

That’s the reason we won.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’m very grateful.

But unlike 23 years ago…

It's not the validation I'm grateful for.

It’s the proof that our mission is working.

That social media can be used for social good.

And that in the end, kindness wins.

It also gives us press to shout louder.

And credibility when people try to tear us down.

I don’t need a Webby to feel successful.

But it does help send a message.

It might not be today, and it might not be tomorrow…

But if you keep following your purpose and do the right thing.

Your dream will happen.

Even if it takes 23 years.

This magical moment…

Was almost crushed by the system.

There’s a common answer I hear when I ask people about their dreams...

Especially the creative ones.

They’re always waiting for something to happen.

Waiting for the audition.
Waiting for the record label.
Waiting for the budget.

But these traditional routes are broken.

We’ve been fed a lie from a young age, with shows like X-factor and Dragons Den.

And it’s destroying millions of dreams yearly.

You don’t need ANYONE’s permission to make your dream come true.

In todays age, with modern technology..

You don’t become an actor by waiting for casting calls.

You don’t become a singer by hoping a producer discovers you.

You have to go out there and build it yourself.

99% of people are thinking the exact same thing as you...

“It’ll never happen to me.”

Or even worse…

“I’ll wait for the right opportunity.”

And that’s why most dreams stay as just that...dreams.

But the other 1% are the ones who make it.

They ignore what they’ve been told.

They take a risk and chase their dreams with relentless action.

Jair had a dream to direct his own film...

But he was waiting.

Hoping something would change.

So I almost forced him to take that first step.

To take that risk.

And then 30+ people from the HelpBnk  community came together to do what they do best:

Help people.

Together, we helped him create a full trailer for his dream movie.

Now he’s in motion.

He’s dramatically increased his chances of turning it into a full feature film.

Your dream won’t happen on its own.

But taking that first step...

That’s on you.

This makes me so f*cking angry.

It’s time people WAKE UP and realise getting a job is no longer the “safe” option.

When you sell your hours, you’re literally selling your life away…

For something that doesn’t even really exist.

(Remember, that money is printed…)

And doing it all for a company, owned by someone, that couldn’t care less about you.

People call jobs “stable” to trick you.

A job is never stable.

This poor guy gave 24 YEARS to this company.

And I'm pretty sure, he wasn’t doing it for the paycheck.

He stayed because it gave him purpose.

He enjoyed helping people and contributing to his community.

And it was all ripped away from him in an instant.

They treated him like he was disposable.

After spending 24 years at this job…

And for what?

Everyone deserves equity where they work.

Especially if they’re doing good in the world.

When you own something, you build value while you sleep.

You don’t wake up one day,  after giving 24 years of your life to a company, and get told you’re worthless.

You own your skills. You own your value. You can trade it anywhere.

Don’t let your job determine your life.

Own your future.

That way we can make sure this sh*t doesn’t happen again.

Freedom is worthless

I HAVE got to tell you about this dream last night!

Right. So I’ve invested in 78 different start-ups...

But last night, I had a dream about it….

Yeah, I know, not exactly a beach in Bali. But stay with me.

I woke up asking myself something I’ve never really stopped to think about...

Why do I actually invest in start-ups?

Why put time, money, energy into something that might fail?

And here’s what came up:

1. Because it lets your money grow while you sleep.
 - Not in some lazy “get rich quick” way.
 - But because great founders are out there building, even when you’re not.
 - Once you’ve invested in yourself, it’s the only way to scale without splitting yourself in two.


2. Because you can actually HELP the thing you invest in.
 - I don’t like betting on things I can’t control like stocks or coins.
 - With startups, I can show up. I can add value.
 - I can make intros. Give advice. Push it forward.
 - That feels 100x better than sitting back and watching a graph go up and down.


3. Because it’s one of the few investments that can actually CHANGE the world.
 - You’re not just backing a product.
 - You’re backing a mission.
 - Google wanted to make the world’s info free.
 - Uber gave people their time back.
 - Even Airbnb gave people access to travel they couldn’t otherwise afford.


When you back businesses like that, you’re not just making money.

You’re supporting someone’s ‘WHY?’

The thing that drives them most in life.

And that’s the difference...

 Buying up houses and hiking up rent is not progress.

That’s greed disguised as wealth.

Instead invest in helping a founder bring a dream to life.

So yeah… strange dream.

But maybe not so strange after all.

Because I think more people should be investing in ideas that actually make things better.

Waking up each day living a loop that doesn’t change.

Nothing to work towards, nothing to achieve.

To me, that’s not living…

That’s just existing.

Living is about growth.

And that’s why entrepreneurship is so powerful.

Sure, at a job, if you follow orders and repeat the same repetitive tasks…

Maybe you’ll get promoted.

Maybe you’ll get a raise.

But it’s not the same as building your dream.

It’s not the same as waking up everyday, with a purpose you’re relentlessly working towards.

It might be harder (at times).

it might be more stressful (at times)...

But the excitement of progress, the ups and downs…

That’s really living.

So if you’ve been feeling that quiet ache in your chest…

That pull that says “there’s more for me than this”…

That’s your dream trying to wake you up.
