Sivaprasad is an experienced UX Researcher. As a Certified Usability Analyst (CUA) by Human Factors International, he conducts evaluative, exploratory and validatory UX studies to help companies achieve key product matrices. Early in his career itself, he developed a fascination for online user behaviour, sparking his journey into UX research. While employed by an online Malayalam infotainment portal, he found variations in website traffic & user engagement. Seeking the why, he created a content checklist. Applying this checklist to pages with low traffic produced 5% surge in traffic & increased the time spent by readers by 3 minutes. Picking from early wins, he addressed the problem of mounting reader complaints related unreadable Malayalam fonts by suggesting, his first data-informed design decision, a visible 'Download Font' button as an image that renders perfectly even on an otherwise unreadable UI. This simple design experiment dramatically reduced font problems from nearly half of the queries to a mere 11%. During a UX research project with the M&A team of a Big 4 firm, he identified issues of business process inefficiency. He recommended a unified M&A tool that eliminated silos, centralized & visualized data, improved team communication, project tracking & timely information access. This cut work duplication by 90%, and reduced proposal creation time by 30%. In another UX research study involving an Edtech startup, he discovered that in an online class, teachers spent excess time on class administration and students get easily bored. He proposed real-time, automated monitoring and innovative student engagement features. This increased teaching time by 48%, and enhanced student-teacher engagement & participation by 100%. On a UX Research project for a major trading corporation in Dubai, he identified task, workflow, data & reporting inefficiencies. He designed a unified platform with dashboard to facilitate cross-functional workflows and enhance data synchronization. This improved scalability and business process. In a Service Design research study aimed at enhancing the experience of "unaccompanied minor" service users for a major Indian Airline, he identified poor service awareness, booking problems & poor functional allocation. He proposed UI & service experiments to improve service awareness, brand trust, efficient integration of technology & humans across various touchpoints. Guided by accessibility standards like Section 508, & WCAG 2.0, Sivaprasad's expertise also extends to universal digital accessibility & inclusivity.
