• I founded NuVizion in 1998, a website design and development company serving non-profits and faith-based organizations. I sold the business in 2003 to Web Logistics out of Bethesda, MD. • After the sale of NuVizion, I founded Digital Innovations LLC, another Internet development company serving both commercial businesses and nonprofits. After winning the Statue of Liberty contract, I sold the business to a call center in 2005. • I was an owner in a 15,000 sq. ft. World Gym in Manassas, Virginia and we sold the business in 2005. • I was the sole owner of Healthy Inspirations, a franchise health and fitness facility in Lynchburg, Virginia. The business was profitable in the first 12 months and successful for 5 years before burning down in 2009. • I started 828 Marketing and Web Design back in 2010, which became my third 7-figure business after running it as a "lifestyle business" for years to help raise my kids. My point of pride is the fact that I only missed 1 field trip across the 3 of them. CAREER HIGHLIGHTS • I have successfully launched 5 businesses, growing 3 of them to 7 figures. I successfully sold 3 of them and am currently scaling one with plans to spin off at least one profit center. • In June 2001, I became the first recipient of the Entrepreneurship Opportunity Fund from the Virginia Center for Innovative Technology (CIT). This award was established to recognize emerging high-tech leaders and their companies headquartered in Virginia that show strong growth potential. • Ellen McCarthy profiled me and my first company in the Washington Post on 10/15/1999. • I managed the design, development, and digital marketing for the first ever online reservation system for the Statue of Liberty. • I managed the design, build and online marketing efforts for Fedcenter.com, an online marketplace for federal government purchasing that became the first eCommerce site for the Federal Government in the late 90s. • I managed the design and development of the first ever web-to-mobile communication solution with the MTEL corporation using pagers from Skytel. • I was hired to oversee the design and development for Crosswalk.com, the first publicly traded Christian organization. We were the largest Christian portal on the web for years. • Besides those listed above, I've been blessed to have been part of an exciting variety of projects over the years. These include common names like: American Red Cross, Black and Decker, Cargotec, Department of Defense, Dominion Energy, Intercorp, NISH, Ole Mex, the White House, World Vision International, etc.
