My background is in insurance and I worked in the industry almost since leaving school. So over 25 years now! Pains me to say that, not due to insurance but my age! How did this happen that I got here so quickly? Whilst I'm happy to put you in touch with the right people for your own personal insurance needs (household, travel and car) it's commercial insurance that I have almost always been involved with. That's mainly insurance for businesses and properties. If you think 'landlords' insurance for their properties and cover for business assets all the way from people (like travel/personal accident/employers' liability etc) through to cars and everything in between. Also their liability for negligence whether that be professional (professional indemnity/directors and officers liability/corporate (business entity) liability, employment practices liability or pension trustee liability) through to just their own whilst working on site etc (public liability). There are very few business sectors I haven't been involved with all the way through from contractors, through hospitality trades right up to specialist banks who will take care of your gold bullion! With all of the above there is very little where I won't know where to access but I have the backing of one of the largest insurance brokers in the world with my employer, who are part of Gallagher Insurance, Risk Management and Consulting. Outside of insurance I'm a qualified mental health first aider and have a keen interest in this and wellbeing. I'm always a listening ear and hope to get more involved in the charity aspect over the coming months in 2022. Just finding the time is the issue! Other than that I have a keen interest in the hospitality sector. Most notably craft beer and whisky, although taking a more keen interest in rum and the latest developments within the sector.
