When I was 6 years old, I lost my first deal. I obsessed over having a pet horse. It didn’t matter how many times my parents said no, I persisted. Finally, my exasperated mom told me they would get me one if the President of the United States said it was ok. So, on my own, I wrote him a letter. I crafted my best sales pitch to the highest decision maker in the land. I found a stamp in our junk drawer and dropped the letter into the mailbox at the end of our street. One day after school, my mother greeted me from our front porch holding a letter addressed to me from the White House. I was thrilled he wrote me back! Sadly, he said no. It was a crushing loss for a first grader, but it taught me something. It proved to me, even as a child, that I was persuasive and ambitious, fearless in negotiating for what I wanted. An objection was just a starting point. I didn’t win my deal with the President, but that engine of determination and tenacity has guided me ever since. It was a quiet hum that pushed me to finance my college education and move to New York City not knowing a soul. It became a roar that motivated me to run my own media sales business for over a decade. Grit is my superpower. Today, I'm an executive sales leader with over 15 years of experience in the SaaS software and media industries, where I have built and coached world-class sales teams, increased revenue and market share, and overachieved targets. I'm passionate about delivering value to my clients and I excel in identifying and executing sales strategy for new logo and existing accounts, managing accurate forecasting, pipeline development and monitoring, deal structuring, and sales playbooks. I'm driven by the challenge of winning complex and competitive deals, and I thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Some proud moments from my career include: • Winner of Conde Nast Salesperson of the Year for Initiative. • Founded multi-platform luxury lifestyle media sales firm that specialized in business strategy, marketing and sales for international media clients.
