I’m not burned out on the work. I’m burned out on the begging. This picture isn’t staged. It’s not a campaign shot. It’s just a moment—a real one. Taken in a place we’re trying to resurrect into a trauma and addiction treatment center. A place where people were once discarded… and where I’m now trying to build a refuge for the same kind of brokenness I once carried in my own bones. I’ve driven over 1,000 miles in the last three days. I spend 18 hours a day chasing this mission, chasing justice, chasing funding—just trying to keep it all moving. And I’m tired. Not from the fight. The fight gives me purpose. I’m tired from having to constantly explain why this mission should matter. From having to sell people on what we’ve already proven: - We shut down four fentanyl trafficking operations. - We rescued women and kids from active brothels. - We housed over 450 people fleeing addiction, violence, and trafficking. - We turned dope houses into sober homes. - We built something out of the ashes and didn’t wait for permission. We’re not a think tank. We’re not a theory. We’re frontline. And we’re effective. But this mission can’t survive on purpose alone. It takes fuel. It takes funds. And I can’t keep pouring from an empty cup.
