Todd was born into a family of proud US Navy sailors; he’s the grandson of a yeoman who served in WWII and the son of a mineman who served aboard SWIFT boats in Vietnam, later becoming a commercial Dungeness crab fisherman after the war ended. He spent his early years aboard the boat assisting his father with the installation of marine navigation systems and electrical power systems. While experiencing homelessness during financial hardship he lived aboard vessels to get by; his exemplary leadership in the maritime industry is complimented by an uncommon level of resilience and mental toughness. His passion for national security and defense is matched only by his desire to protect our nation's maritime border, ports and waterways from threats both foreign and domestic. He's currently working as a systems engineer at his family's business, Fleck's Marine and is open to new opportunities which will further the development of his professional career.
