My views vary topic to topic & are subject to change as I learn. I am very interested in learning. Raised conservatively, Mormon, & surrounded by Catholics in the community, I eventually graduated from a liberal college, Mills. My parents are from different cultures & sides of the political spectrum. Both families have been in the USA for generations. For about a decade, I was outside of the USA. In total I have lived in 5 countries & 19 cities in N. America, Asia, Europe, & Latin America where my perspective & thinking were constantly challenged. I have been wrong many times & this has led me to be right some of the time. I grew up speaking English which I taught for a period primarily to professionals in Korea & Guatemala. They inspired me to become fluent in Spanish & to learn some Portuguese & French. For about a decade I was an entrepreneur, small business consultant, & coach delivering services to clients globally. I still take on the occasional client on a select basis. I have published two non-fiction books, one adventure travel memoire, & have a goal to write a fiction adventure mystery series in the future. I worked remotely for many years & have also loved to be on site. That choice is more about logistics & costs for me. Happy when we can make either option work. Working on teams or deep diving into solo tasks are both things I have done before & appreciate. Learning, training, systems, critical thinking, writing, marketing, designing, languages, creating, problem solving, & making sense out of nonsense are all things I deeply enjoy, in no particular order. My latest career iteration has been as a Data Professional. I like SQL, Sas, Python, NLP, & Network Science. I prefer standing desks, walking meetings when possible, & taking lots of breaks to move my body as I have a lot of energy. If my camera is off there's a 98% chance it's because I'm pacing around. Sitting down all day causes me health problems that I prefer to avoid. It is personally rewarding for me to do whatever I do well. I welcome constructive feedback so that I can continue to improve. Ultimately, I seek depth of understanding & truth which I know I will never completely find & yet I revel in the pursuit.
