Why are smart businesses turning to Fractional Chief People Officers❓ Because they’ve realised something most businesses learn too late... HR is an impact driving core business delivery function that is CRITICAL to success‼️ We all know that a full-time Chief People Officer (CPO) is an expensive resource that not all businesses can afford. But not having an executive level CPO can cost you a fortune in bad hires, a broken culture and an ineffective HR strategy. ❌ No, the office manager cannot be your CPO! Why would you engage a fractional CPO & what do you get?: ✔️A commercially minded leader with extensive experience at a price-point that makes sense while you are scaling ✔️A senior executive who can help you scale your business, drive performance, establish your operating model and positively impact your bottom line ✔️A strategic partner who will deliver hard truths to help you and your business grow ✔️A solution that will embed into your leadership team, deliver results and scale with you You can’t scale a business without a deliberate people strategy. Gut feel isn’t a plan and HR isn’t just policies and payslips anymore. A Fractional CPO gives you the experience, leadership and strategy of a seasoned executive, but flexed to the needs and stage of your business. Embed. Operate. Deliver.

Are you leading... or just managing? Does it even matter?... I've been thinking about this a lot lately. Leadership gets all the buzz. Podcasts, books, offsites. We're told to inspire, empower and transform. When the hype dies down and the real work starts, does it really mean anything? What do we know? 📌 Leadership is about building the environment - the culture, the vision, the energy. This is what motivates people to go above and beyond and can harness the power of a team. 📌 Management is about execution. Holding the line, making sure outcomes are delivered, consistently. If leadership is creating the environment & motivating, then I see management as getting the job done & well. Both matter. One without the other? You’re either running a motivational speaker circuit or babysitting a project plan? I don't think so... Some of the best leaders I’ve worked with were also exceptional managers. They could inspire a room and drive accountability. They didn’t choose between being respected or getting results. They did both. If you’re building a high-performance team, you need to lead and manage. Inspire and deliver. Build the culture and hit the targets. What separates a great leader from a great manager? Maybe nothing separates them? Thoughts?

What are some different ideas on how to reward & recognise your team? In large businesses reward programs can sometimes feel a bit cookie cutter (Hit me up if you have something innovative!). But in the small to medium business world, there’s room to get creative and make a real impact. Here are two unique examples I heard recently that might inspire you: Trip of a Lifetime: A client funded an Umrah pilgrimage for a top performer - it hit home because the reward was actually deeply meaningful for the employee. Practical Perks: Another client, who runs a mining company in Indonesia, noticed his staff struggled with scooter repayments. If you have ever been to SE Asia you know how critical this method of transport is! He now offers top performers scooters as part of their employment package, interest-free. He even helps with wedding costs! The key takeaway? Tailor your rewards to something that your people actually care about. If you think about what truly matters to your employees, you will actually make a lasting impression and possibly keep them for life. What's the most unique reward you’ve seen or would like to implement? Share your thoughts below ⬇️
