I am a software engineer. I currently lead development teams working with AWS Serverless technology for the backend and React or Svelte for the frontend. I love the outdoors in the Pacific Northwest, including camping (some may say glamping) and lake/river swimming in the nearby forests. I have two adorable (I'm biased though) small dogs who love that fact that I have been working from home for the last 2 years. For one reason or another my professional software engineering career didn't start until I was almost to my 30s. I worked 11 years in grocery retail which has given me some unique perspectives on life and the workplace. I have always loved the computer world. My first major memory of computers was somehow uninstalling a windows 3.1 program from the save menu when I was 4 or 5 years old. I love working with NodeJS and Typescript. I have been developing full stack React/AWS Serverless applications for over 5 years now. I recently found a love of Svelte application development and have started using that for new projects. I love to learn new things and refine how I use the knowledge and skills I have already learned. My passion is using my skills and working with others to make a positive impact on the world for others here now, our future generations, and myself.
