Responsible for cross cutting digital themes across the Customers and Products entity at bp
- Led the digital strategy for Customer and Products entity in bp, that laid out what digital opportunities we go after in 2025, 2030, financial frame and return on investment. This was in support of building bp's strategy to reimagine energy presented to shareholders on the capital markets day.
- Built and scaled a team of 25+ high performing architects in a span of 18 months, with architecture accountability over:  CRM, Commerce, Automation, Identity, Technology architecture including Salesforce, AWS and Modern application architecture. Accountability span an investment of ~100mn.
- Framed how bp will be digitally distinctive - using modularity and composable business to go to market faster and reduce our TCO. This is now an established program of work.

Chief Architect - Cross portfolio, Technology and Platforms

Leading a team of 14, including direct reports of five lead architects, my remit includes:
⁻ Driving the transformation of IT function with strong focus on modern application architecture; building community of developers and establishing modern apps surgery to re-architect and review apps for best practice
⁻ Architecture for software lifecycle and pipeline engineering; deciding tools to be utilised in pipeline across BP strategic platforms
My notable achievements include:
⁻ Accountable for BP’s conversational platform strategy, I created reference architecture for deployment of chat-based experience, worked with the HR dept and Microsoft product team on deployment of first large scale conversational chatbot use case, used by 45k+ users.
⁻ Responsible for enterprise-wide enablement of Intelligent Apps, I selected technology for cognitive/AI services, identified and drove platform level enablement activities, and supported building of AI Centre of excellence

Principal Architect - Digital Enterprise

I defined application platform strategy and managed software lifecycle. Defined roles of platform /product teams in delivering modern apps, pipeline engineering and democratising application development. 

I notably:
⁻ Played a decisive role in building BP’s technical reference model that currently guides technical decisions and workload placements across BP
⁻ Identified gap in BP’s application development platform portfolio; selected Salesforce to fill gap, set up enterprise scale Salesforce centre for enablement alongside new platform/product model.
⁻ Introduced citizen developer program to drive democratisation of application development, empowering business owners to develop own apps; defined concept, roles and responsibilities; trained personnel and established CxO buy-in across the group. Program was subsequently recognized and published by Gartner Inc.
⁻ Supported platform strategy for BPMe mobile app for pump payments. This is used globally and one of the largest B2C deployments at BP, supporting payment at pump and rewards.

Senior Enterprise Architect

My remit included:
⁻ Led mobile strategy accelerator program; drove “going mobile” agenda, mobile VPN strategy and application virtualisation strategy
⁻ Implemented framework with digital security and risk protocols to facilitate mobile aps on-boarding
⁻ Provided solution architect support for strategic BP projects such as airfield automation of mobile based airfield fuelling, and safety and operational risk facilitating 45,000+personnel’s ability to record HSSE incidents

My notable achievements included:
⁻ Lead application architect for workplace transformation, successfully migrating over 14,000 apps from Windows 7 to 10. I developed approach and standards pertaining to apps deployment in modern workplace and designed app store and approval process to reduce workflow by 47 percent and improve user-experience
⁻ Recognised as Senior Expert for web and mobile technologies, outstanding contribution to safety and operational risk project, and for trouble shooting expertise when project was on critical path

Enterprise Architect

My remit included:
⁻ Played a key role in developing BP’s mobile reference architecture and standards to scan market for technology options regarding mobile platforms, application management, VPN capabilities and
development tools
⁻ Project Lead Architect for SAP mobile platform upgrade and key contributor to BP’s mobile security strategy. I utilised wide technical expertise across stack to troubleshoot in SAP portal and mobile space
My notable achievements included:
⁻ My suggested innovation ideas of web acceleration and mobilising SAP utilising Fiori were implemented after proof of concept and stakeholder buy-in
⁻ Assisted in architecture and design of SAP portal – An Amazon type ordering system. 
⁻ Designed SAP components enabling server reduction from 18 to three, and CAPEX & OPEX savings of millions of dollar

Mobile & Portal Architect

Hands-on technology expert in Portal and Web Technologies. I was responsible to work across multiple projects providing expert technical guidance with in the Portal space.

I was the Portal Technical Lead for the Fuels Value Chain SAP Implementation in ANZ.  This was one of the largest SAP implementations in BP. 

Proposed and implemented the SAP Internet facing landscape for Portal, SRM and security around this in BP.

Lead Solution Analyst - SAP Portal SME

I provided technical guidance on multiple portal space projects; mentored new team members and held technology lunch and learn sessions to help improve capability. My notable achievements
included:
⁻ I took on the role of Portal Technical Lead for fuels value chain SAP implementation in ANZ (Australia & New Zealand), one of BP’s largest SAP implementations to date
⁻ I proposed and implemented first SAP internet facing system for BP and helped integrate Microsoft SharePoint with SAP
