In my role as a full-time consultant, I continue the journey I began as an intern. With more experience, I am more able to fulfill our clients' needs not only by implementing front-end features but also by maintaining, analyzing and refactoring our code. As a result, I was able to focus more on performance and accessibility, which are key elements of delivering great digital products.

I also started using React as the main front-end library for our projects. Although I mostly create components using hooks and functional components, I have also been challenged to upgrade older versions from class components to functional components. 

Since our Global Services team has grown significantly in the past four years, it has given me the opportunity to mentor some junior developers and develop my leadership abilities. Being able to share my knowledge with newcomers and help them is a wonderful experience for me.

As an intern on the Global Services team, my role was to develop front-end solutions so our clients could achieve their digital transformation through Liferay. 
During two years I could learn about the Liferay Platform, improve my front-end skills, work with a diverse team, start using the SDLC model throughout the sprints and acquire consulting experience.

It was an opportunity for me to work on my first client-facing project as a part-time volunteer at university. This experience gave me an opportunity to learn a lot about working in a diverse environment and dividing responsibilities.
I had the chance to build websites and started my journey as a front-end developer.
