In my professional career of almost 40 years, including work on cross-border projects for 12 years, I have been working as an independent consultant, manager and trainer on EU-funded projects for some 20 years, currently on mainly nature and climate related issues. Recently, I have been supporting several global and European projects through Climate Valley Consulting B.V. (CVC) and other organisations. Under the name of Hermanns Consultancy, and working on EU project development, management, evaluation and training in various fields, CVC has been established in 2002. As a project manager and consultant on EU funded projects, mainly INTERREG, themes include climate and energy, rural development, regional planning and environment. I have been working as a trainer and project consultant on global nature and climate projects and nature based solutions, EU funds, and cross-border issues for numerous regions, countries and intermediate organisations in Europe and beyond. Specialties: Nature based solutions, project and programme development and management; EU Funding, especially INTERREG and LIFE. Other fields of work as a consultant include rural development, spatial planning, energy, tourism, infrastructure and transport, sustainable development, climate and water issues.
