10 visuals that will change how you think: Beautiful visuals by Pejman Milani (Give him a follow). Core themes that hit me hard: ↳ Action beats perfection. Always. Period. ↳ Your circle will make you or break you. Choose wisely. Here are my 10 lessons: 1/ Overthinking is slow-motion failure. ↳ It drains your energy while getting you no closer to your goal. ↳ Set an aggressive deadline, move, and adjust on the fly. 2/ The messy middle is where winners are made. ↳ If your journey looks clean and perfect, you're not pushing hard enough. ↳ The chaos now becomes your success story later. 3/ Small moments create massive shifts. ↳ One genuine "I believe in you" can change someone's entire trajectory. ↳ Be that catalyst for others - it comes back tenfold. 4/ Perfection is a lie that keeps you poor. ↳ Your polished plan means nothing against someone else's ugly progress. ↳ Netflix started shipping DVDs in envelopes. Where are you starting? 5/ The world belongs to the doers. ↳ 90% are still "planning" while 10% own the market. ↳ Your perfect timing is making someone else rich. 6/ The mirror is your only real competition. ↳ Use others as targets, not excuses - they prove what's possible. ↳ Make today's choices > yesterday's excuses. 7/ Passion isn't always “discovered”. ↳ It's earned through mastery. ↳ Start terrible, stay consistent, become unstoppable. 8/ Mediocrity comes from trying to do it all. ↳ Your calendar is crowded with things that don't move the needle. ↳ Cut deep: 2-3 priorities that actually matter. Nothing else. 9/ Burnout is your body calling BS on your choices. ↳ It's not just about sleep. Its often about losing your why. ↳ Don't wear burnout like a badge - fix what's broken. 10/ Want to see your future? Look at your circle. ↳ Want to be average? Hang with comfortable people. ↳ Want to level up? Find friends who don’t accept your excuses. #8 is my favorite. P.S. Which hits hardest for you? - ♻️ Repost this to help your network learn these lessons! ➕ Follow me (Will McTighe) for more like this.

Data without a story is useless. If it can't be understood, it doesn't matter. Think about your last presentation: → Did eyes glaze over? → Did you see people checking their emails? → Did your suggestions get “parked for later”? That’s because your insights aren’t landing. People are drowning in dashboards, but are missing the story. And I get it. Creating a story from data is hard! Canva's Data Storytelling Report found that: → 66% feel anxious working with data → 35% of marketers actively avoid data tasks → 44% struggle switching between different tools But the hard truth is, Data isn’t memorable, stories are. Here are 3 quick ways to tell better stories with data: 1/ Start with a Surprising Statistic ↳ “90% startups fail in the first year.” ↳ Open your story with the number, not a boring explanation. 2/ Show the “Why” Behind the Data ↳ Don’t just share the number, explain what it means for real people. ↳ Ask: “So what?” and answer that in one sentence. 3/ Control the Narrative ↳ Highlight what matters, hide what doesn’t. ↳ Not all data adds value - use only what matters. Next time you present data, remember people want: ✅ Clear takeaways, not complex stats ✅ Actionable next steps, not data-dumps ✅ Visual data they can grasp, not just spreadsheets The question isn't if your data is good. It's if your story is strong enough to make it matter. 📌 Want to learn how to improve storytelling with data? ↳ Check out Canva's B2B Data Storytelling report: https://lnkd.in/gHym8PKK — ♻️ Repost to help others tell better stories with data. ➕ Follow me (Will McTighe) for more like this. #canvapartner

170M new jobs. 92M jobs gone by 2030. Many current skills will be totally outdated: One skill will make the difference. The #1 career regret people will have in 2030: "I knew about AI early... but never learned to use it properly." Here's why this matters now: The World Economic Forum just dropped a bombshell: ↳ 170M new jobs by 2030 ↳ 92M jobs eliminated ↳ 86% of businesses transformed by AI But here's the real kicker: The top skills aren't what you'd expect. Yes, AI knowledge matters. But it's not about coding. The real winners in 2030 will master: 1/ Strategic thinking with AI 2/ Creative problem solving 3/ Systems thinking 4/ Leadership & influence But what people miss about AI is that you can use it to help you with ALL of these skills: 1/ Strategic thinking: → Ask AI to analyze your last 90 days of customer feedback. → Look for patterns in complaints you missed. 2/ Problem solving: → Before your next team meeting, have AI generate 5 different approaches to your current challenge. → I use this to break out of my usual thinking patterns. 3/ Leadership: → Practice tough conversations with AI first. → I send difficult conversations to Claude to sense check my judgment. 3 steps to set yourself apart: 1/ Start Small, Start Now ↳ Write down your list of tasks for today ↳ Choose 1 of them you can do with AI's help 2/ Think Bigger Than Tools ↳ Focus on solving problems ↳ Build systems, not just skills 3/ Share Your Journey Publicly ↳ Document your wins and failures  ↳ Build your authority early - your brand is just going to get more important Most will wait until 2029 to take this seriously. By then, the early movers will be untouchable. 📌 Get ahead by building your personal brand today. Here are 120 post ideas to get started: https://lnkd.in/gKzZUq-b Your future self will thank you. P.S. What's one important task at work you're doing with AI? 👇 -- ♻️ Repost to help others future-proof their careers. ➕ Follow me (Will McTighe) for more like this.

In 10 years, CVs will be useless. Your fancy degree? Irrelevant. Your Fortune 500 experience? Nobody cares. Your polished CV? Dead on arrival. My fiancee hates it when I say this but... Most people are still playing yesterday's game. They're: • Obsessing over CV formats • Name-dropping big companies • Hiding behind posh degrees But the rules have changed. Modern leaders don't want paper credentials. They want proof. What matters now: 1️⃣ Your shipped projects 2️⃣ Your public thoughts 3️⃣ Your documented journey 4️⃣ Your proven results Your real CV? It's scattered across: • GitHub repositories • LinkedIn posts • Digital products • Community contributions The internet is your new portfolio. Every post is an interview. Every project is a reference letter. Ready to build your future-proof CV? Start here: 1/ Pick your platform • Choose where your future employer lives • LinkedIn for B2B • Twitter for startups • GitHub for engineering 2/ Share consistently • Document your journey • Show your work • Build in public 3/ Ship something real • Launch a side project • Create a template • Build a tool Remember: One small win beats perfect plans. Consistent sharing beats viral hits. Real work beats fancy papers. The future belongs to builders. Time to become one. 📌 To help you prepare for the future: Chris Donnelly and I analyzed 223,996 LinkedIn posts. We've packaged everything into a 50+ page report. Want the secrets? 70% of job skills will change by 2030. Thanks to AI. But here's what most people miss: It's not about just collecting AI certificates. Think about it. Two people walk into a job interview: One shows their AI certifications. The other shows how they used AI to: • Cut a 2-hour meeting into 20 minutes • Turn a heated Slack thread into a solution • Simplify a wordy brief into something everyone could understand Guess who gets hired? LinkedIn's Skills On The Rise report confirms what top companies already know: The important "soft" skills aren't going anywhere. But the future belongs to those who combine AI literacy with human skills. For nearly every task I do,  I'm thinking, how can Claude help (my fave AI). And the people who don't will be left behind. Here's what employers are actually looking for: 1/ AI Literacy ↳ Paste a messy brief, ask: "Summarize this in 3 bullet points" ↳ Share meeting notes, ask: "What action items did we miss?" 2/ Human-First Skills ↳ Reading the room in tense meetings ↳ Getting buy-in from resistant team members ↳ Knowing when to close laptop and talk face-to-face 3/ The Ability to Blend Both ↳ Using AI to draft, but your experience to edit ↳ Let AI crunch data, you tell the story behind it The best part? You can start practicing this today: 1. Pick one repetitive task 2. Ask AI: "How would you help with [X]?" 3. Test the solution 4. Adjust based on real human needs Most will read this and think "I'll start tomorrow." Winners will open up an AI tool right now and try something new. — Another thing you can do to get ahead of the curve? Start posting online. Success isn't from knowing everything. It's from admitting you don't. Most people are terrified of looking stupid: • They won't ask "dumb" questions in meetings • They nod along pretending to understand • They stay quiet when confused But the most successful people have no problem looking like idiots. For a long long time. When they want to learn something, they ask others or teach themselves: Look around: ✅ Elon taught himself how to build rockets ✅ Zuckerberg learned coding alone ✅ Jobs studied calligraphy for fun They all had one thing in common: They became masters of self-education. Here's how to start teaching yourself: 1/ Pick one thing at a time. ↳ Don’t spread yourself too thin - you won’t make an impact. ↳ Focus on learning one skill for 30 days. 2/ Learn by doing. ↳ Reading, consuming alone isn’t learning. ↳ Start a small project - learn what you need as you go. 3/ Learn from someone 2 steps ahead. ↳ Learn from their mistakes - reverse engineer their success. ↳ Take notes on what they do differently. The difference between winners and the rest? It's not degrees anymore. It's how fast you learn and grow. ⚡ Stop asking for permission. It’s yours to take. — The most important thing I wish I started building sooner? My personal brand. 📌 Here’s the playbook that got me to >370k followers With 120 post ideas + my AI writing prompts: https://lnkd.in/gKzZUq-b Remember: The most important teacher you'll ever have? It's you. — ♻ Repost to help your network teach themselves. ➕ Want more? Follow me Will McTighe

Success isn’t just about persistence. It’s about knowing when to move on. After speaking to hundreds of people about this, I’ve realized that so many get stuck in the wrong place: ↳ Because change is scary. ↳ Because you’re comfortable. ↳ Because you’re waiting for the ‘perfect’ moment to leave. But here’s the truth: The longer you stay, the more likely you’ll get stuck. Here are 7 signs it might be time to move on: 1/ You’ve Stopped Growing. ↳ It feels like you’ve hit the ceiling. No growth. No learning. Just stuck. 2/ You’re Undervalued. ↳ It's not about getting a gold star every day. It’s about consistent hard work going unnoticed. 3/ You’re Always Waiting for the 'Right Time'. ↳ You keep telling yourself, "Just a little longer." News flash: there is no right time. 4/ You’ve Lost the Passion. ↳ Monday dread ruins your Sundays. The excitement is gone. 5/ You Don’t Get Along With Your Manager. ↳ Work feels tense and negative. You’re on edge, worried about their reactions. 6/ Your Goals Have Changed. ↳ It’s natural to want new things as you grow. Time to realign your life. 7/ You Constantly Think ‘What If’. ↳ You talk about leaving but never act. Fear of uncertainty holds you back. Be brave enough to admit you walked into the wrong room. And walk out when it’s time. The biggest change I've made recently? Posting online. Most people don't fail at chasing their dreams. They just never start. Why? Because failure stings. It makes us question ourselves. It exposes our doubts. It challenges our ego. But here's the truth: Every successful person you admire has failed. Multiple times. In public. The only difference? They kept going. While others stay: • Stuck in soul-crushing jobs • Dreaming about "someday" ideas • Watching opportunities pass by The winners simply refuse to let failure be the end. They make it their beginning. Just a step on a journey. 📌 Ready to join them? Here's your playbook: https://lnkd.in/gKzZUq-b ♻️ Repost to help others embrace failure. ➕ Follow me (Will McTighe) for more like this.
