While I may not wear a cape as a superhero, but as an Emergency Physician and now founder of HeHealth, I've often stepped in to provide life-saving interventions when people are at their most vulnerable or weakest. Innovation, to me, is about problem-solving and making a positive difference. A few years ago, a close friend nearly succumbed to suicide due to the fear and social stigma surrounding STDs. In the emergency department, I've seen too many patients delay seeking help until it's almost too late. When I discovered that there are one million new STDs diagnosed daily worldwide, and many of these individuals lack access to care, I knew I needed to act. After covid, I founded HeHealth, harnessing the power of AI to tackle enduring challenges associated with infectious diseases. As a Consultant Emergency Physician based in Singapore, I've served under the Singhealth group at Sengkang General Hospital, leading a dedicated team in treating over 8000+ Pediatric Emergencies annually. I continue to serve as a Visiting Consultant at SKH. When I'm not immersed in the world of AI diagnostics, computer vision, IoMT, or exploring blockchain applications in healthcare, you'll find me diving with sharks or scaling remote mountains.
