Inbound worked for selling my house! Over the weekend we had 3 showings and received 2 offers. It didn't happen overnight. We spent a month before that preparing. Purging, donating and cleaning. I brought someone in to help with cleaning for 2 days. My goal was to use all the 'training' from watching HGTV! The photographer took photos that were warm and inviting. The listing description described my house, the flower beds and even mentioned the bird feeder. In 3 days we had 3 showings. The person that made the first offer changed their mind. On day 3 the 2nd offer came in. The real estate market in Connecticut is bonkers. Here's how it works: The buyer's realtor asks, "how much will it take to buy it?" The listing price is used to gather interest. So my house is under contract. We're excited about moving back to Minnesota! (and my granddaughter was born last weekend too! more to come on that...) You don’t need a lot of leads. You just need high quality ones that convert. This is the same approach I use to get leads on LinkedIn. I post comments about my expertise in large networks. Those that are interested and need help reach out to me. I can help you get high quality leads too— Without daily posting. Without cold outreach. Just simple steps that build visibility and attract the right people to your calendar & inbox. If you want the system that works for getting leads and selling houses! Drop a 🏡 below or send me a DM.
You’re inspired by the promise and hope! The idea sounds good. You’re motivated. So you go for it— I bought a high-ticket training course for over $5 k. The first two months? Energizing. I was all in. But now… it gets hard. This is the moment when excitement fades and real change begins. Execution is much harder than reading about ideas. I’ve removed the distractions. I’m not waiting for perfect timing. Now it’s about building muscle memory—doing the reps, even when it’s not fun. Because habits, not hype, create ROI. This shift is teaching me something important— The people I coach feel this too. ⚡️ How do we keep going when motivation dips? ⚡️ What tiny steps keep us in motion? ⚡️ How can I support them with this in mind? I’m using this learning curve to rethink how I coach people thru it. Making it more practical. More human. More doable. What about you? What gets in your way when you're learning something new?
Is your growth stalled? Let’s fix it. I’ve got a client spot open right now. This doesn’t happen often and when it does, it usually gets snapped up fast. If you’re a founder or team that’s feeling stalled, plateaued, or just can’t seem to get consistent growth… this is your opportunity. I also frequently help founders that have tried agencies and not found success. I help early-stage companies unlock traction without hiring a full-time marketer. How I help I build lean, effective marketing systems that: – Clarify your offer and messaging – Translate technical expertise into trust-building visibility – Set up inbound content systems (newsletters, webinars, content repurposing) - Teach you how to use the power of AI with custom built GPT’s – Build a warm lead pipeline on LinkedIn (including training sales) – Take execution off your plate with fast-turnaround support If growth has slowed down and you’re not sure what to try next, let’s talk. This open spot won’t last long. My rate is a fraction of a full-time marketer. (I work fractionally and you get seasoned expertise!) DM me or use my calendar link. Let's talk! I help founders and fractionals use simple systems to grow their business.
The biggest mistake I see around selling your services? You sell what you can do instead of what you want to do. Too many people leave a job and try to sell… the same version of themselves. Same title. Same responsibilities. Same language from their resume. But here’s the truth: You don’t have to keep doing what you’ve always done. You get to pivot with intention. You get to build something aligned with the kind of work you want to do now. Not what your past roles boxed you into. At a recent session, I said this out loud—and the chat lit up: 👉 “Define what you want to do, not what you used to do.” That’s the core of building an offer that gets you hired. It’s also how you protect your time, energy, and sanity. So ask yourself: What would it look like to craft your next chapter on purpose? No copy-paste resumes. No defaulting to what’s “safe.” Just a clear offer based on what YOU actually want to solve. That’s the work we do inside Growth Rebel. 🍍 ✨ If you’re in the middle of a pivot—or about to be—I’d love to help. 👇 What’s something you used to do that you don’t want to offer anymore?
I went from $0 to $10K/month in 8 months— My client? Did it in 4. No ads. No daily content. Just a clear offer and a simple system. Most people don’t have a lead gen problem. They have an offer problem. 👉 Your LinkedIn isn’t converting because your offer is too vague, too safe, or still tied to your last job title. 👉 You’re doing “all the things” and still not getting inbound leads. 👉 You’ve got skills—but not a message that makes people say “I need that.” Here’s the truth: You don’t have to keep doing what you’ve always done. This is your chance to pivot. To craft an offer around the work you actually WANT to do next. I just dropped the replay of the session where I teach: ✅ The exact steps to turn your expertise into a sellable offer ✅ How I positioned myself to get 2–3 inbound calls/week ✅ What I taught my client to help her hit $10K/month in just 4 months This is for you if: – Your network isn’t bringing leads anymore – You’ve left your job (or want to), but can’t crack LinkedIn – You’re tired of trying to sound “professional” and ready to sound relevant 👀 Get the replay here: https://lnkd.in/ekQvdyQi This session is the unlock you’ve been waiting for. Let’s fix your offer so you can get clients and do what you WANT to do! #growthrebel #pivotyourcareer #consultingclients #linkedinleads #sidehustle #offers
So many of you are still chasing cold. Cold DMs. Cold pitches. Posting into the void, hoping someone bites. Here’s the shift: 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗴𝗲𝗻 𝟯 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼. - On April 21st I found my dream house in Minnesota. - I pushed up selling my house in Connecticut by one month. - And we traveled to visit my daughter and parents in MN. It has been complete chaos… but my house will be on the market this weekend! I love having the freedom to pause work and focus on life. There was no outreach. I answered DM’s, posted once a week and did client work. And yet— ➡️ I landed a new services client and have a 2nd in my pipeline ➡️ Signed 3 new coaching clients How? 𝗠𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗜 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁. That’s the magic of warm. Warm doesn’t hustle for attention. It pulls in people already looking for what you offer. It builds trust before you ever hop on a call. When your comments show you know your stuff… When your profile speaks to a real, painful problem… When your offer is clear and specific— You stop chasing. You start magnetizing. Every profile view? A signal. Every DM that starts with “I saw your comment…”—that’s warm. And warm leads close faster, easier, and with less friction. The truth? You don’t need more effort. You need more clarity. Clarity → trust → clients. While everyone else is cold-pitching and getting ghosted— I’m still booking 2–3 calls a week. Even when I’m off the grid. Because warm wins. Every time. You can do this too! In my Growth Rebel program I teach you how to comment where people are looking for your services. Use the calendar link to set up time to see if it’s right for you.
“You should just build a SaaS with 4 steps and automate it.” Oh cool, thanks dude I met 90 seconds ago on a networking call. Let me scrap my entire business real quick. Here’s what happened: He asked me what I do. “I teach people how to use LinkedIn to get clients.” Him: “What’s the hardest part?” Me: “I can show them exactly how to do it. But they still have to do it.” And then… CUE THE UNASKED-FOR BUSINESS ADVICE. “You’ll never make money with that. People don’t want to learn—they want a tool. You need a SaaS that just does it for them in 4 clicks.” Then he jumped into demo mode, asked for my website, and started pitching his SEO software. Did he ask if I cared about SEO? Nope. Did he ask if I even needed a tool? Also no. Here’s the kicker (and I told him so): I’m not trying to rank on Google. People already find me on LinkedIn & in private communities. That’s where my leads come from. That’s where my clients come from. If they want to check my credibility they can Google my name 'Connie Lund' and boom - there I am. I've been there since 2007! Because I built a system that works. Yes, I use AI. Yes, I’ve built custom GPTs. But no, I’m not trying to replace human connection with a robot. Some things you can’t automate: - Real conversations - Real trust - A clear offer that makes someone say “Finally, THIS is what I need!” I’m not building another tool that adds to the noise. I’m helping rebels 🍍 who know how to cut through it. People who are done waiting, done spamming, and done playing by the LinkedIn “influencer” rulebook. If that’s you, come join the rebellion! I teach people to use Linked to attract clients while skipping the personal brand and content grind. #GrowthRebel #LinkedInLeads #NoContentGrind #AIWithHeart #BurnThePlaybook photo - with Bill at MSP airport.
3 Reasons LinkedIn Isn’t Helping You Get New Customers For the past 3 weeks I’ve been helping a founder create new processes for LinkedIn so they can get new business. I love the spark when they see what good engagement and content looks like. It’s not their fault that they were doing it wrong. They were just following the advice that everyone gives. Most founders and solopreneurs are told they need to build a personal brand, post daily, or hire an agency. But here’s the truth: ✅ You don’t need to spend hours creating content. ✅ You don’t need to chase followers or go viral. ✅ You do need a few high-quality conversations with the right people. That’s the Growth Rebel way—simple systems that attract clients without the content grind. I teach people to bring in inbound leads. If LinkedIn isn’t working for you, here are a few places to look: 1. Your LinkedIn profile still reads like a resume Your profile isn’t your career history—it’s your storefront. It should answer: – Who do you help? – What problem do you solve? – Why are you the one to do it? When someone lands on your profile, they should immediately know how you can help them. That’s step one in creating inbound opportunities. 2. Inconsistent content strategy Your content won’t help you if it’s not relevant. It should reflect your expertise and show people what it’s like to work with you. Growth Rebels use content strategically: – They repurpose what they’re already saying to clients – They post value-packed insights once or twice a week – They tell stories that spark conversations Ask yourself: “Could anyone else have written this post?” If the answer is yes, rewrite it. 3. Engagement should be helpful, not salesy The comment section is where your next client could find you. But only if you show up with value. Don’t pitch -> teach. Don’t chase -> connect. Growth Rebels comment with credibility and care, so they build trust before anyone ever sends a DM. Bonus: You’re waiting for leads instead of sparking conversations This one’s tough love: If you’re lurking and not engaging, you’re invisible. You don’t need to cold pitch, but you do need to start conversations. Want to learn how to make LinkedIn actually work for you? 👉 That’s what we do inside the Growth Rebel program. We build offers, position your profile, and create systems to attract and convert clients - without turning you into a content machine. DM me “REBEL” if you’re ready to fix what’s not working.
For so many years my priority was working. i worked for many great CEO’s. I loved working for 10-12 hours a day helping them build their companies. Last fall something changed. At Thanksgiving, my daughter told me she was going to have a baby! She is 35 and I never thought it would happen as she’s type 2 diabetic. She embraced the high risk pregnancy with confidence. Then in December her husband was laid off. After 9 years working for a stable, non-tech company.. he was offered a job in Texas or take a severance. He chose to leave and got a job in the Twin Cities area. My daughter packed up her house when she was 6 months pregnant. Around Christmas I felt an undeniable pull from that baby. I started putting things in motion. Made small comments until I convince Bill to move back to Minnesota. (He has lived there which didn’t help, but… he’s all in.) We planned to move in June when they were settled… But I started browsing real estate in early April. In the end of April I found a house near her. My daughter had done a virtual tour with the realtor, so I did that too. The home inspection was virtual too. Next week I will visit my new house in person before closing on it. We are packing up our house and will be moving in a couple weeks. It’s really exciting and I’m so excited to meet my grandbaby!! She was born last weekend. It's been challenging building my own business, but I'm so happy to be able to have the freedom to balance my time. I can choose my priorities... Can't wait to meet this little girl! Have a great weekend everyone!
I bought a house in MN in 4 days last week. And I never left Connecticut! Last week was really nuts. I had been looking at houses for about a month. I decided to live near my daughter (who is having a baby soon!) I saw a preview on Monday night. Contacted my realtor on Tues morning. On Wed she went thru the showing using her phone. (I have a recording of it on Google meet.) We made the offer. And then I got the text that started with…. “There are multiple offers…. “ (I played this game in Austin, TX. It’s not fun.) But we won. And on Friday the home inspector talked me through his findings. Again it was recorded. My sister said, “You bought a house sight unseen?!!” Yes, I did. The original plan was to fly in June and do the 3-4 day house-hunting trip. My issue with that is that in a seller’s market, it’s like trying to hit a moving target. When I bought a house 10 years ago with this same realtor, she & I visited like 15 houses. Five houses per trip. The market was slow then. This time I knew exactly what I wanted. I had worked with her before... and I trusted her. Both she & the home inspector didn’t find the virtual aspect odd at all. The world has changed! I’ve worked remotely for 18 years and it’s my way of life. And I LOVE it! - I met my life partner on Twitter. (We’ve been together 15 years) - I work with people around the globe. - And now I bought a house virtually. So, we have moved our move date up a month. And we’re furiously working on getting this one on the market. That is much more physically demanding than sitting in front of a laptop! But here’s what this whole experience reminded me: ✅ Speed matters when you’re clear on what you want ✅ Trust makes everything smoother ✅ The world really has changed, and some of the best things in life now happen virtually I didn’t plan on buying a house in 4 days. But I was ready when the right one showed up. Here’s to new beginnings, baby snuggles, and remote life done right. Minnesota, here we come! (And if you ever want tips on buying a home remotely… I’ve got stories.) ps - I also onboarded a SaaS startup founder for my marketing services and started 2 new coaching clients last week. I'm ready to help you to simplify your marketing efforts. It shouldn't be painful.
Another birthday, another year gone by. Thank you everyone for the birthday greetings! LinkedIn does it totally behind the scenes. (quite different than Facebook…) My birthday was Sunday. And yes I frequently share it with Mother’s Day. It’s nice, I like it! Thinking back to one year ago at this time I was in the midst of the evil vestibular neuritis. We hadn’t found the solution yet and I wondered if I would ever get over the continual motion sickness. (I couldn’t look a screen - laptop, phone or tv. It was so debilitating.) But Bill found a physical therapy doctor who provided exercises to manage the mixed signals that my eyes were sending to my brain. But this year! This week has been one for the books! There is a big celebration coming!! In no particular order - - my updated website is live! Check it out at connielund.com - we wrapped up a massive purge and house cleaning and my house is on the market with open house this weekend (That was a LOT of work and I’m happy to be back to my client work.) - our healthy eating is paying off - we’re both down over 10 lbs And most importantly, my granddaughter will be born on Saturday! We are on a path to move back to Minnesota in June. Then it will be time to celebrate all of these big steps. Thanks again for the birthday wishes! Every year gets better. I love this new chapter of building my own biz and the freedom to add being a Grandma! Image by chatgpt. It's doing so much better with spelling, but missed on Sale 😂
