I used to chase comfort but only two things in my life, I have never compromised with.

I never compromised with mountains and daydreams.

Back in 2023, I saw Chasing Clouds on Facebook and reached out to the founder voluntarily, I said "I want to work for Chasing Clouds, for free" 

I had $0 in my pocket, I was about to start working for them for $0. 

Why?

Because of the dreams of the mountain, I can't make money with my dreams.

So I jumped without thinking twice. This is how a beautiful journey started.

Here’s something I’ve never said online:

I made mistakes. And I repeated them.

With money.
With Systems.
With my decisions.

I did this too with my newsletter.

I started my newsletter back in October 2023.

I just created an account on beehiiv and hit “start.”

No planning. No audience research.
The result? Miserable failure.
Did I learn my lesson? No.

I repeated the same mistake in 2024.

The result? Another failure, like before.
I tried different approaches,
But nothing worked. 

But, In 2025, I resolved to make this the best newsletter. 

So, tomorrow, you won’t get a deep dive from me.

Instead, tomorrow’s email will be personal.
The backstory I’ve never shared online. 
I’ll share the mistakes I made.

99% of my followers don't know this about me...

I failed in (almost) everything in my life. 

I failed just because I "quit" 

Started playing hockey at the age of 10 -> Quit 
Started playing football at the age of 13 -> Quit 
Started playing chess at the age of 15 -> Quit 

Does this list end here? No. 

I have done engineering too. For 6 years. 
Everyday, I wanted to quit it, seriously 
But...I somehow did my graduation 

Then, back in 2023, I started writing. and sticked with it. 

For months, nothing was happening. 
But, I wasn't ready to "quit" this time. 
And, I got rewarded for it after 1 year.

Now, people recognize me as the "Email guy" 

If I had "quit" so soon, I couldn’t have achieved these all.

People don't lose -> They quit. Stop quitting too soon.

Here’s my best advice for writing an email:

(This can increase your conversion rate)

Start writing your email backwards.

Most emails I see have multiple outcomes.
Wrong messaging confuses readers.
Confused minds never buy.

Instead, do this:

Be clear about what you want them to do. 
Write it as the CTA and then the body copy.
Finally, write the subject line. See the change?

Don’t confuse them → Help them buy your service.

Always remember: 1 email → 1 outcome.

Write persuasive Email copy. 
Focus on "value-first" approach 
Optimize the email for read time 
Keep playing with the subject line 
Nurture your subscribers frequently 
Always follow the 80-20 rule of selling 
Spend 50% time writing the subject line 
Write a good welcome email + add a gift 
One email, one CTV, not multiple (please)
Perform A/B testing in each of your emails 
Always keep updating your subscriber form 
Personalize email according to user behaviour
Keep cleaning your Email List (automate this too)
Master automation. Automate everything you can
Create lead magnets against each of ICP's problem 

Email Marketing is the best marketing channel. 

Even if nothing exists, email will always be there. Use it.

Here’s how I would start Email Marketing in 2025.

(And grow my business escaping the algorithm)

1. Know my “why”

↳ I will understand why I need Email Marketing
↳ 1:1 access to my ICP, can sell better and effectively
↳ And the most important part? it beats the “algorithm”

2. Understand my audience

↳ I would spend 3-4 hours understanding my audience
↳ Market research (Reddit, Quora and ask the public)
↳ If I know who I am selling to, I can sell better

3. Pick my ESP

↳ I would look for the best ESP who can satisfy my needs
↳ Such as email delivery, customer support and pricing
↳ And most importantly, it is not selling my data

4. Build my email list

↳ Once I am done with the backend, I need people
↳ To acquire subscribers, I would build lead magnets
↳ I will write + promote on social media to bring subs

5. Testing and analyzing

↳ I would start sending quality emails
↳ I would segment my audience + experiment
↳ Weekly and monthly I would check the performance

It might look so easy, but It takes time to build these all.

Escape the algorithm - > Own your audience → Sell.
