Ronaldo did not just change leagues — he changed leverage.

And when he entered the U.S. as part of a delegation with Mohammed bin Salman during the Saudi state visit — this was NOT a marketing moment.

It was a statement.

Here is why:

💚 This was a transition of identity, not just salary.

Ronaldo did not go to Saudi Arabia just for a new contract. 
He has described the Kingdom as “his second home” and has invested himself — professionally and personally — in the region. 

💚 His power is in alignment.

By appearing at the highest diplomatic table — with global heads, business leaders, and a major state visit — Ronaldo aligned himself with more than club football. 
He is connected to national strategy, cultural change and emerging global influence. 

💚 He is rewriting the playbook on legacy one day at a time.

At this stage of his career, many expect Ronaldo to be thinking about past glories. 
Instead, he is embracing an actively new chapter — one in which his brand, his base and his impact are anchored in Saudi Arabia.

He chose this path before many would have. That says something about ambition and foresight.

💚 Lifestyle becomes his strategy.

Because when you call a place your “home,” you are signalling that your stake is long-term.

So yes, the money matters (it always does in sport) — but in this case it is way secondary. 
What matters more is cultural integration, platform building, influence, and being part of a transformation.

Now so what does this mean for the rest of us?

💚 Choose place because it resonates with who you are becoming, not just what you own.
💚  Choose partnerships that reflect your values rather than just your value.
💚  Choose presence, not just performance.

- Ronaldo did NOT come to Saudi Arabia to finish the story.

The most powerful man in Qatar just proved he does NOT need the latest iPhone — and the message is bigger than tech.

When Sheikh Tamim was spotted on his recent Rwanda trip using an iPhone 12 — not the latest, not the flashiest — people were quick to comment.

But here is what this actually tells us:
👏 In the Gulf, real power does NOT need upgrades.

Because influence is NOT measured in the latest tech — it is measured in presence.

While the world obsesses over the newest model, the most expensive watch, the biggest car… the people who truly move this region forward are playing a completely different game.

Let's break this down some more:

1️⃣ — Confidence without display
When you know who you are and what you bring to the table, you do NOT need the latest device to validate it.

2️⃣ — Focus on substance, not optics
Vision 2030, global diplomacy, energy policy, foreign affairs — these do NOT run on a gadget. They run on strategy, relationships, and long-term thinking.

3️⃣ — A reminder that luxury here is not loud
The Gulf has a quiet, intentional kind of luxury. A kind of wealth that does NOT need to shout.

4️⃣ — A different definition of status
The West equates status with consumption. The Gulf equates status with legacy.

And the people who carry that legacy?
They can afford to be understated.

When you understand Gulf culture deeply, you notice that the most influential people rarely need to signal anything.

- Their confidence is silent.
- Their presence does the talking.
- Their phone model is irrelevant.

This is why cultural intelligence matters — because without it, you miss the real message entirely.

Yesterday, I was standing on a mountain peak in Saudi — wind, silence, sunrise — and someone looked at me and said:

“Are you Corina? I follow you on LinkedIn.”

On a mountain peak.
In Saudi Arabia.
In the middle of nowhere.

Not at an event.
