Hi, fellow human; I’m delighted you want to learn about me, what I do and why I do it. After spending all of my 20s and much of my 30s waiting tables, bartending, and managing restaurants, I founded a B2B SaaS company using machine learning (ML) to help restaurants schedule and forecast labor more accurately as well as stay in compliance of labor laws. Learning to get a product to market, assemble a team, raise capital, and scale a venture was transformative, and the platform that empowered me to do this was LinkedIn. Learning to use LinkedIn to network, gain visibility, earn media, build a personal brand and build social proof has been at the center of everything I’ve gone on to do since that first startup, from joining and serving on boards to cofounding DCRBN web3 launchpad and venture studio, joining Agora World as their first executive (CGO), being asked to serve as president of World Game Changers CIC/501c3, being the interim CEO at inf4mation.com, “chief connection officer” at Coryconnects podcast, community and viral growth coaching, cofounding Storkful Metaverse (AI babies), being an EIR (entrepreneur in residence) at the Founder Institute, cofounding DSC sales engine, and now coming out of shadow mode with WeJ DJ, a tech powered community helping DJs power speakers in public places around the world to take back the music industry for the artists and creating superior experiences for patrons across the globe. I love music (reggae, hip-hop, punk, afrobeats most!), animals (all, but esp. dogs), good spirits (in more ways than one), nature, startups, reading, networking, impact, and travel. I launched my weekly AI newsletter here, entitled Tech For Good: Building in Public With AI on 4/13 and within 36 hours received 70,000 subscribers — I’m blown away by the reception and will do everything in my power to keep you entertained, updated, in the loop, empowered, and to discuss relevant and timely topics such as AI on the blockchain, AI ethics, decentralization, Universal Unconditional Basic Income (UBI), AGI and ways to mindfully but effectively accelerate humanity’s collective advancement.
