If you do (or have other caring responsibilities) stop comparing yourself to people who don’t. While you’re on the school run, they’ve had an hour of deep work. While you’re juggling dinner, bath time, and bedtime stories, they’re networking over dinner, posting on Instagram, or filming their ice bath. If a dental surgeon is working then so are the nurses, receptionists and cleaners but if they leave then so do those jobs. In the world of high performance talent matters and talent pays the bills. If you discover talent, go all in on it. If talent is leaving, do everything you can to keep it.
