I really do love Sales, as I find the art of communicating with other humans endlessly complex and fascinating. Reading books has helped me enormously in my career. Simplified. - Way of the Wolf - Fear Bubble by Ant Middleton ______________________ My background: I've been in Sales since 2011. Initially, honestly, I hated it. My first role was a boiler room Telemarketing role, and I was terrible. I dropped out of sales for a year, but after I saw Wolf of Wall Street, it inspired me to give it another go... cringe, but true. Whilst working a few different Sales jobs, honing my craft and focusing on personal development, I spent the next couple of years saving to go solo backpacking and 'find myself'. After a few months having a blast in SE Asia, I returned to the UK and needed a job. This is the part where I tell you I fell into Recruitment. I had great success as a 360 Recruiter helping Tech Start-ups grow their teams, and learned loads about the art of human communication. After working my way up to Manager level, I decided I wanted a change. I took some time out to try self-employed life, helping Recruitment Agencies win more Retained business and optimise their Business Development Strategy. But it wasn't what I wanted to do long-term, and gave me time to think on my next move. I'd been looking at SaaS sales for a few years as a potential career move, and I decide to make the leap. In Jan 2024, I started my first SaaS role as a BDR at aircall, an AI-driven VOIP solution. I love Sales and post content regularly on LinkedIn. I try not to take myself too seriously, so if you ever see me doing that, feel free to tear me down :)
