Just wrapped an incredible 6-month journey with Ascend’s first cohort of PE execs—and I can confidently say it’s been one of the most transformational experiences of my leadership career. Stepping into this program, I didn’t expect how powerful it would be to slow down, reflect, and grow alongside such a sharp, driven group of peers. Just wrapped 6 months with Ascend’s latest cohort of PE execs. Once again, I’m reminded what’s possible when smart, driven leaders slow down to get sharp. Get the right leaders in the room with the right structure, and it's amazing what can happen in 6 months: → Getting real about the stuff most execs don’t talk about—impostor syndrome, blind spots, burnout—and building the skills needed to navigate. → Learning from other PE-backed leaders walking the same path (and realizing you're not the only one figuring things out as you go). → Seeing execs become more adaptive and situationally intelligent leaders, and building greater range in how they lead. → Practicing and working through real PE scenarios—board tension, founder dynamics, macro pressures—in a no-risk environment. → Embracing what it means to be a value creator, and zooming in on the opportunities that can move the value creation needle most.
