Prior to his current position, Jake Stone worked as a people-first Sales Development Function Leader at Fast Radius, a fast-growing tech company driving to revolutionize the manufacturing space. Jake led multiple high-performing teams of SMB - Enterprise SDRs. He built the Enterprise SDR function and rebuilt the SDR Function as a whole from the ground up during his time there. Jake worked as a Key Senior Account Executive and Team Lead in a restaurant focused real estate tech start-up consulting with restauranteurs to help shift strategy and continue to thrive in the new reality brought about by COVID-19. Proving successful working with clients of all sizes from entrepreneurs to corporations, Jake continuously operated the Chicago market while concurrently opening other markets across cities in the Midwest. Jake also built out a SDR function specific to the central region, helped stand up a nation ISR function, and helped onboard and ramp new AEs within the central region. Jake began his career in SaaS as an AE at Thryv, partnering closely with small to mid-size local businesses in the greater-Chicago area to improve their marketing strategy and implement a small-business oriented CRM solution. Despite marketing budgets being impacted by the pandemic, Jake proved successful in selling to local businesses allowing him to achieve 121% of his year’s rev generation quota by month 7 of his career. Jake spent the last seven years prior working as a high-end restaurant wine buyer and GM, working almost exclusively for independent businesses in his prior career. During this time he cultivated both his skills as a sales professional, and his skills in client relations. He worked full time while attending UNC Charlotte, and graduated with his Bachelors in Marketing Analytics and Intelligence. The skills Jake acquired while working in high-end hospitality, as well as his immense successes selling wine in that environment, pave the way for continued success in a professional sales career that allows him to rely on and utilize his passion for connection, innovative solutions, and business strategy development.
