The only way to meet the IT needs of a company is to truly understand how their IT drives the outcomes of their business. Once you understand this you can solve any problem.
Businesses are much like individuals-- each company has unique needs to meet, problems to solve, and constraints in how to make the solution a reality in their environment.
The key is to use a proven process to analyze needs, design an offer that solves those needs, build a plan detailing each step of the process to implement the solution. Then you can put it all into place. 
When your focus and efforts are aligned with doing what is in the best interests of your client, fear is no longer a concern when proposing solutions. I know when I make a proposal, I can be confident in the results the solution will bring my client.
Problem solving is part of my zone of genius. I love solving problems for my internal and external clients. I love finding solutions that meet all their criteria and overdeliver from what is expected. Not every solution goes above and beyond, however, I strive for excellence in meeting and managing client expectations.
Companies need to look towards the long-term goals of their business to guide IT decisions. Where they will be in 10-20-30 years will help them gauge and orient the focus when planning IT needs. It’s great to have short term needs in view and met, with the long-term always as the compass in gauging what to do in the short-term you will get better results.
Along with supporting businesses as clients, I have coached technicians and support staff in learning software, processes, and other tools to be successful on the job. I love give and help my coworkers provide outstanding service and value to our clients. 
Working in IT, I have learned with the right tools, mindset, and support- nearly any problem can be solved, almost any barrier can be overcome. I have coached techs for communication & people skills for better results in serving clients, I'm proud of my work.

Working in a Big Box the needs and care of individual employees tends to be a low priority. I learned this lesson early in my career as new employees dropped like flies in a matter of days.
The problem was not the new employee, but the lack of training and support needed to become competent to do the job alone. People felt overwhelmed and thrown to the wolves to be devoured.
To fix these, I this my professional mission to correct these dynamics, and give people a real chance for success.
How did I fix these?
	Created my own training curriculum that filled in the gaps missing from company mandated training.
	Partnered newbies with myself of other veterans who taught them what the standard curriculum missed that was critical components to be competent
	Gave new employees on-going support daily and access to additional resources to find help when they could not solve a problem alone
	Made it mandatory they would never be without help for standard period of time to ensure mastery of skillsets
	Scheduled additional training in other areas to create well rounded understanding and working knowledge of the company as a whole
	Coached with employees for performance goals& career plans
	Worked to teach employees to sell and recommend based on customer needs and wants; and to give customers all information they needs from start to finish in working a project
What were results?
1.	Turnover dropped by 85 %-- people felt good about staying committed to their new position
2.	Newbies were able to work with less stress and worry helping them master skills faster
3.	More enjoyed good or excellent reviews at the 6 month and 1 year evaluations
4.	Productivity increased, sales improved, customer satisfaction ratings soared up
