Most founders dont have the luxury of warm intros. Since I started Prodcircle I get a pitch deck or two everyday. 

This one was cold and caught my eye. 

Here's what I think you should do if pitching cold to investors. 

- Brevity is Key: VCs have a sub-minute attention span. Your initial communication should grab interest in 60 seconds, deciding if you're worth a deeper look.

- Serve an Appetizer: Your email should succinctly tell your story—limit introductions to two lines, focusing on relevance and background without the fluff or jokes.

- Save the Best for In-Person: Aim to intrigue, not overwhelm. Avoid attaching bulky demos, excessive press links, or inflated market sizes. Leave them 
wanting more.

- Personalize Thoughtfully: Customize your opening by understanding the investor's thesis. Avoid overly casual or formal tones, and skip the peculiar humor.

- Choose Metrics Wisely: Highlight key metrics and figures that resonate, such as contracts or user growth. Mention fundraising goals subtly without overstating market size.

- Clear Call to Action (CTA): Be explicit about wanting a meeting. Ditch the generic pitch deck and offer a direct line for scheduling a discussion. 

End with an open invitation for further conversation, not a closed "thanks, bye".

Trim the Footer: Keep it simple—your footer should not overshadow your message. 

The primary goal? Secure that call.
