So Phil, thats the end of the road, we are closing. 

Not what you want to hear on a Monday morning, especially a month before Christmas. 

But this was the reality 11 years ago (pretty much to the day)

Positives, I had the mother of all hangovers because a quiet drink in the afternoon had turned in to a session that ended at 5am and involved going to Fabric, the Ice Bar, and Balans. 

Now this might sound like a problem... And it was, my income was vastly lower than my outgoings, and it was a crappy time of year to be looking for a job. 

2 months before I had tried to start up Think Digital Marketing Solutions, as marketing is what I'm good at and I'd grown a whole section of the agency I'd worked at previously, so it made sense... Problem was that agency had hit me with a cease and desist notice as apparently I was targeting their clients and had taken their data with me... I wasn't, and I hadn't. They focused on SEO... I was focusing on Digital strategy... Anyway, that had been canned because I didn't have the mental energy to fight it. Turns out they couldn't have upheld it as the terms were unreasonable. 

So anyway I turned to what I knew could fix the problem... I dj'd for 7 nights a week, even did Christmas day! Head down and earn as much as I could know January was coming and that was going to be even harder. 

During this time I started freelancing with marketing as well... And that was the very beginning of my marketing solo journey... Well kind of. There was another attempt earlier with a friend, but we can have that story another day.
