2. What’s the biggest misconception about your work?

3. What’s a painful mistake you made that your audience can avoid?

4. What do most people in your industry get completely wrong?

5. What’s one lesson from outside business (sports, travel, family) that shapes how you work?

6. What was the hardest decision you made this year, and how did you choose?

7. What’s one process or system you swear by and why?

8. What’s the most underrated skill in your industry right now?

9. What’s a belief you had starting out that turned out to be false?

10. What do you want every new client to know before working with you?


Answer these and you'll have 10 posts ready to go.

The truth is you don't need more "content ideas."

You need sharper questions that expose the stories and insights hiding in plain sight.

That's what I do for a living.

This is your reminder to stop adding silly hashtags to your LinkedIn posts. They don't work.

They don’t boost reach/game the algorithm/help new people to find you/sprinkle the lucky fairy dust over your posts.

All they really do is make your content look like a social media intern from 2016 had a field day.

Messy. Distracting. Unreadable.

If your post is good, it won’t need hashtags to perform.
If it’s not, hashtags won’t save it.

Write something worth reading. Then hit post.

That’s the only strategy.

We already lost the em dash to ChatGPT.


Next up on the chopping block?

“It’s not about X, it’s about Y.”
Or the word “landscape.”

It’s starting to feel like an episode of Survivor, except instead of people, words get voted off the island.

My money is on "synergy"

My most successful LinkedIn post last month had 13 nonsensical, idiotic words. (Yes, I counted twice just to be sure)

Apart from 30,000+ impressions, 400+ reactions, 148 comments and 5 reposts, the post also brought in: 

- 170+ followers
- 4 warm leads ($8,000 added to the pipeline) 
- 2 new clients ($4,000 added to the revenue)

You know how everyone here is always yapping on about 'authenticity' and 'personality'

This is it. 

This is what they mean when they say you have to add some personality to your content.

Make it funny. Make it memorable. Make it YOU.

It happened again.


I was recommended by a total stranger to a prospect for personal branding.

We’ve never spoken. Never exchanged a DM.
But they’d been reading my posts quietly, and when someone in their network asked, “Who can help me with LinkedIn content?” my name came up.

I don't know about you, but I think that's really cool.

It proves the power of showing up here.

When you post consistently, two things happen:
1. People begin to trust your expertise.

Your content is your reputation.

Every post you publish is a small reminder: “Here’s who I am, here’s what I do, and here’s why I’m worth remembering.”

How to make sure no one gives a damn about your LinkedIn content 101. (Yep, I'm giving it to you straight)

Step 1: Post once every 2 months.
Because nothing screams “trust me” like someone who shows up less than your neighbor’s WiFi signal.

Step 2: Start every post with “In today’s fast-changing world…”
Congratulations, you’ve just put your reader to sleep faster than an ambien.

Step 3: Talk only about yourself.
No lessons or takeaways, just a TED Talk to your own ego.

Step 4: Stuff your post with hashtags, jargon, and buzzwords.
Because nothing says credible thought leader like 'synergy' and 'cutting edge'

Step 5: End with “Thoughts?”
The ultimate engagement-killer. 


Look, LinkedIn isn’t complicated. But most of you like to overcomplicate it.

Your audience doesn’t want jargon or a motivational wallpaper.
They want clarity, perspective, and stories that actually sound like you.

If you can give them that, the engagement, leads, and opportunities will follow.

Step 1:
Don't panic.

Yep, it's important. Your posts might not immediately fly and that's okay. Keep at it.

Step 2:
Double down on commenting.

Spend more time in the comment section than you did before. Drop a few extra comments, but make sure they aren't boring or bland.

Step 3:
Send connection requests.

Add relevant people to your network. Tell the algorithm you're alive.

Step 4:
Send DMs.

Send messages to your regulars. Have a conversation. Truly give a damn. 


And that's it.

1. The hook solved the real pain.
Most people freeze because they don’t know what to post. I promised to fix that in one swipe.

2. Lists = save-bait.
People bookmark prompts, checklists, frameworks. Saves push your post further in the feed.

3. Borrowed authority.
I said these were the same questions I ask my ghostwriting clients. Instant credibility without bragging.

4. Clean, scannable format.
Short setup. Numbered list. No walls of text. It’s a skim-friendly medium.

5. Soft CTA.
Not “buy now.” Just: if you’d rather skip the work, DM me. It worked.


The playbook is simple.

You don’t need gimmicks, graphics, or selfies to go viral and/or generate leads.

You need to provide actionable value and structure it in a way that's easy to consume and implement. 

Add in a strong hook into the mix and you're good to go.

All because we told the stories only my client could tell.

Your insights, stories, and experiences are your biggest leverage.

Use them to your advantage on LinkedIn.

Please keep using AI to write your LinkedIn posts. Seriously, don't stop.

Post that half-baked listicle. Build those annoying word pyramids.

Keep flooding the feed with the most generic advice to ever exist.

Because every time you do, my job gets easier.

All I have to do to help me and my clients win on this platform is write like a damn human. 

It's simple, really. 

Every time you use AI to write your posts, you're essentially outsourcing your reputation to a bot.

Why would you want to read this LinkedIn post?


It's a giant chunk of text. A series of words one after the other without any breathing room. The writing here feels like the instruction manual of a lawn mower. It's an information dump no one wants to explore. 

On the other hand, this feels better.

Whitespace. Line breaks.

There's breathing room. 

Your eyes move down without effort. You’re actually reading it.

Good writing gets people to click. Good formatting gets them to stay.

On LinkedIn, both matter.

If your content sounds good but doesn’t perform, it’s usually not the idea. It’s the format.

If I was a coach/consultant looking to make a living from LinkedIn, here's exactly what I'd do for the first 30 days.

(I follow the same strategy for my clients)

Alright, let's get into it. 

Week 1:

- Tighten your profile: clear headline, banner, and About section that shows who you help and how.

- Connect with 20–30 ideal prospects per day.

- Write down 10 stories/lessons from your journey. These will fuel your posts later.


Week 2:

- Post 3x this week: 2 story-based posts, 1 authority POV.

- Comment daily on your prospects’ content (not “great post” fluff, add perspective).

- Track which topics spark the most replies or engagement.


Week 3:

- Post 4x this week: 2 story posts, 1 framework/tips post, 1 soft sales post.

- Double down on connections. By now, you should see more people accepting.

- Start soft DMs with new connections (lead with value, not pitching).


Week 4:

- Post 4x this week: story, authority POV, framework, and 1 soft sales.

- Share 1 clear offer in your post (e.g. coaching program, free call).

- Look for signals: saves, DMs, comments asking for more.


Now, you probably won't sign any clients in the first month. 

(I signed my first client after 2 months of posting consistently)

But by the end of 30 days, you’ll have:

- A visible profile your audience recognises.
- A content rhythm you can sustain.
- A small pipeline of people who see you as an expert.


That's it. Just rinse and repeat, and let the compounding effect take over.
