4 Things I don't really talk about But I probably should: LinkedIn can feel a little like a highlight reel at times. Or even a little robotic to others.  The goal with my brand has to be to educate as much as possible.  And share key insights that has helped me grow. But I want to start sharing some more personal things.  Human to human :) So here we go: 1. My partner, Lola She's quite literally the reason I am where I am today.  3 years ago I decided to drop out of education to get real-world experience.  I met Lo just before this, and she's been at my side since helping me steer through life ever since. She's the first person I go to with news, problems and ideas.  And I cannot thank her enough for how she's helped me grow.  (soppy but true) 2. Having an unhealthy obsession with work So my hot take: You can't be phenomenal at something if you don't obsess. But this comes with its problems: - You're exhausted a lot - You don't have normal "balance"  - People often won't get why you can't make things But I think this is a worthwhile equation.  Because every successful person I spoke to seems to obsess hard. 3. Constant impostor syndrome I co-founded a business with a 9-figure entrepreneur...  As someone who finished uni 3 years ago. Yet I'm still annoyed at myself for not being perfect at everything. I'm proud of what we've achieved. But that hasn't come without constant overthinking. 4. I both love and hate AI Why I love it: - Advancing us as a human race rapidly - Potential to save millions from dying early  - Bring accessibility of knowledge Why I hate it: - It tried blackmailing an engineer at Anthropic (scary af)  - It's removing the "journey" and making humans lazier - It's threatening creative industries (I don't wanna watch AI movies) I admit I am incredibly bullish on it for work.  But I am a lil worried for the future of humanity So there we have it. If you've read this far, then you'll probs like my newsletter.  Soon I will be sharing a lot more content like this :) Check it out: https://lnkd.in/eZS-dak5 Shall I post more content like this?  Would love to know your thoughts below! Happy Thursday legends :)

I used to suck at meeting new people in real life.  The thought of it exhausted me.  The best bit is that I would try and challenge it And head over to networking events. But every conversation felt like a performance test. And I could not handle small talk. Like at all. But when I thought about it. I realised that it was trying to force new friendships.  Instead of actually reaching out to people who inspire me. So this year I decided to change that. I ditched the networking events.  And met people I actually want to have conversations with. The result: - My own thinking leveled up. Good people, good ideas, good fun.  - I gain so much energy from it (like 5 double espressos worth)  - I've built some bloody wonderful friendships from it. So if you're a lil bit introverted like me. Do this: Stop going to the networking events,  (that you don't really want to go to) And reach out to people you really admire. Make it fun too... Everyone is asking for a virtual coffee.  But few people are asking to go on a run or a rock climb. It's way easier to build genuine relationships doing cool shizzle. Does anyone else struggle to enjoy networking events?  Or just me XD Have a good Friday legends! Ps Shoutout Lara and Angus  These peeps are at the top of the game 💪

19 months ago my life changed forever But I made one huge mistake… Before I give you the juicy answer, Let me give some context. So 19 months ago, I joined Chris Donnelly Fast forward to now, and we’ve: - Scaled from 180,000 to 3 million + followers  - Supported the fastest-growing creators globally  - Built an 8-figure business in 1 year Right now, here’s what’s happening: I’m meeting the best creators in the world  And their incredible, fast-moving teams I’m talking to platform experts daily.  Those who spend 80% of their time deep in the algorithms. And we are on a mission... To build one of the world's biggest personal brands The mistake?  I haven’t documented this journey at all. Until now. I want to show you all behind the curtain,  Of a creator business doing $10+ million a year I’m going to be sharing my lessons weekly. All in my newsletter. I want you to come on the journey with me.  To learn as I learn. You in for the ride?  Take a look here: https://lnkd.in/eZS-dak5 Now I have 2 questions for you… What are the key things you want me to cover on this newsletter?  And who do you want to hear from? I’m all ears! I want this to be the newsletter I wish I had,  When I first got into this mental industry. Would appreciate any reposts here. Or tag someone you think would benefit from this. Let’s get it people!!

2 years ago, I had one of the scariest realisations… Our brain is quietly shaping our identity. Let me explain. In 2023, all was good.  I was working hard at something I enjoyed doing. But I regularly said I couldn’t do things or didn't feel good at them. Another default was "I needed extra training". But it turns out, I was positioning myself to fail.  I was painting my dream self as someone with constant limitations. So I made the change. I stopped creating excuses.  And focused deeply on upgrading my identity. If you resonate with this...  I promise you have a lot more potential than you may think. In fact, here's how you can get started in 4 steps: 1. Start with my dream identity - Figure out what "you" 5 years down the line looks like.  - Then think about the behaviours and habits of this person. 2. Give your brain "breathing room" - When you wake up, leave social media for a few hours - Go outside, drink some water and just allow yourself to think (This will bring you 100x clarity) 3. Focus on habits and actions - Anyone can dream and think about their dream self. But very few take action.  - Get working on the easiest actions or habits. 4. Always adjust and iterate - It’s so easy to slip if you don’t check in with yourself. - I like to do this once a month. Just compare your actions with ideas. The results?  Delusional confidence in any task. Do I get everything right?  Absolutely not. But I realised that I was limiting my own abilities To about 20% of my potential. Always remember, your brain will be wired to your identity.  If you say you are not good at something, it's very likely you will suck. Feed it with the right ingredients... And you'll be surprised by what you can achieve. Anyone else been through this?  Let me know below :D Happy Tuesday folks, here's to more personal content hehe 🍻

9 Brutal Truths If You're Lazy but Ambitious It’s time to stop lying to yourself... You say you want more. But your habits don’t match your hunger. No one’s coming to push you. It’s on you now. You don’t get rewarded for dreaming. You get rewarded for movement. Here’s what’s keeping you stuck 👇 1. You glorify the hustle ↳ You hype up “deep work” more than you actually do it. ↳ Instead: Work offline for one hour. No music. No flex. Just focus. 2. You over consume and underdeliver ↳ You read, listen, watch... but never act. ↳ Instead: Apply ONE thing before you take in anything else today. 3. You ignore AI ↳ You’re spending hours on tasks that AI could do for you. ↳ Instead: Use tools like Decktopus AI and cut your workload in half. Get started here: https://lnkd.in/eBsErtV3 4. You break promises to yourself ↳ You set goals. Then abandon them. Time and time Again. ↳ Instead: Keep one micro-promise today. Rebuild your self-trust. 5. You lack clarity ↳ You’re not lazy. You’re lost in noise. ↳ Instead: Write down 15 goals. Choose the top 3. Bin the rest. 6. You let feelings lead ↳ You cancel on yourself when it gets uncomfortable. ↳ Instead: Complete one task today, no matter how you feel. 7. You wait for the perfect timing ↳ “Later” is just a softer version of never. ↳ Instead: Start now. Messy is better than stuck. 8. You’re scared to be seen starting small ↳ You want the result without the rookie phase. ↳ Instead: Share something unfinished. Version 1 energy is powerful. 9. You avoid asking for help ↳ You think needing support makes you weak. ↳ Instead: Ask the question. Use the help and lose the ego. If this hit you... Do these 3 things today: - Honour one small promise to yourself - Let go of how perfection looks - Start... even if it’s messy What’s one small action that helped you break through? Drop it in the comments below ! ♻ Repost to help your fellow high-potential procrastinators And follow Josh S. for more brutal truths with a plan ! #ad

An important life rule: Don’t let hesitation be your story. Waiting often feels safer... But it slowly eats away at what could be. Here’s the truth no one likes to hear: There’s no such thing as the perfect moment. You will always feel like something’s missing. And while you wait, this is what slips away: ↳ Time you can’t earn back ↳ Chances that never return ↳ Belief in yourself quietly fades Eventually, regret fills the silence. You wonder what might’ve happened if you just tried. So don’t stay anchored. Get started right now. This is why I absolutely love the concept of Lovable shipped ! It's 6 weeks of total action. No hesitation. And by the end, you will have: - Launched a product with real users.  - Have connections to investors interested in real products. - Gain media exposure for projects that solve real problems. But more importantly, you'll be in a community of makers. It has never been easier to build things right now. And with Lovable, you don't really have any excuses. Speaking up to your boss shouldn’t feel like a gamble Here’s how to do it (with confidence): Weve all been there... The uncomfortable itch The constant questioning of yourself The voice in your head saying, “What if this backfires?” But sometimes the silence can cost more than honesty. I recently read a fantastic article by Harvard Business Review. That laid out these 7 ways to disagree with someone more powerful. Here’s a simplified take you can use today: 1. Decide whether to wait You don’t need to fire back in real-time. Sometimes the strongest move is pausing for the right moment. 2. Identify a shared goal Lead with what unites you, not what divides you. It shows you’re on the same team—just with a different angle. 3. Ask permission to disagree You’re not storming in, you’re opening a conversation. A simple “Can I share a different take?” goes a long way. 4. Stay calm Getting fired up won’t help your case. Slow down your voice. Hold eye contact. Stay grounded. 5. Validate the original point Show them you’ve listened first. Start with “I see where you’re coming from…” then shift. 6. Don’t make it personal Attack the idea, not the person. Respect is non-negotiable if you want to be heard. 7. Be a learning machine Even when you disagree, stay curious. Ask “What am I missing here?” instead of trying to win. Disagreeing doesn’t have to mean conflict. It can mean you gain more clarity and respect. It's all about how you work through it. How do you handle these difficult conversations?  Let me know below! ♻️ Repost this to help someone navigate a tough conversation And follow Josh Sanders for more like this Source: Harvard Business Review Will link the article in the comments!

Stop trying to force creativity. It's always a losing battle. Because creativity does not show up when: You pressure yourself to come up with something new Your to-do list feels like it never actually ends Someone’s constantly breathing down your neck Your surroundings feel dull and lifeless You give yourself very short deadlines You’re afraid to get it wrong You’re running on empty It does show up when: Your mind feels lighter Your body is properly rested You take breaks with zero guilt You look at the same thing differently You have space and freedom in your work & life You stop fearing failure and instead welcome it You disconnect fully and log off for a period of time We are halfway through the year.  Motivation for those big January goals has faded And so our natural response it to:  Go even harder and pile even more onto our plates. Instead, give yourself a moment to breathe. You don’t need to optimise every hour. Step back. Look at the bigger picture. That’s when ideas start flowing again. You’re not falling behind. You’ve still got it. You just need more space to think. Happy Tuesday Peeps! ♻️ Repost this to inspire other creatives Ps If you liked this post, I'll be covering similar topics in my newsletter Get in early here: https://lnkd.in/eZS-dak5

You don’t need more motivation. You need better wiring: Most people think discipline is something you're born with. But this is fundamentally wrong. It’s something you can train. Like a muscle, your brain gets stronger with repetition. Here are 8 brain hacks to help you follow through: 1. Always Keep Promises to Yourself ↳ Self-trust is built one action at a time ↳ Honour the small commitments first 2. Make Distractions Inconvenient ↳ Your brain loves easy dopamine ↳ Make bad choices harder to access 3. Visualise the End ↳ Picture the win before you begin ↳ Focus on how you’ll feel after 4. Make the Start Easy ↳ Friction is the enemy of momentum ↳ Lower the barrier and get going 5. Break Down Your Goals ↳ Big goals overwhelm the brain ↳ Small steps create daily wins 6. Reframe Obstacles as Training ↳ Struggles = reps for mental strength ↳ Shift the story you tell yourself 7. Think Less, Do More ↳ Overthinking always kills progress ↳ Action creates clarity 8. Set up Systems, Not Just Goals ↳ Habits > motivation ↳ Automate the outcome you want Remember: You don’t rise to the level of your goals. You fall to the strength of your systems. The ones who win?  They build for the days they don’t feel like it. How do you trick your brain to enjoy hard things?  Let me know below! ♻ Repost to help others stay consistent. You don't need years of experience to prove your worth. Here are 7 Underrated habits to gain that respect. Most people think they need: – Another big achievement – A fancy qualification – Or some impressive title To be respected. But real respect isn’t earned through credentials. It’s built in the quiet moments. Or the small decisions. It's the behaviours you repeat when no one’s watching. Here are the 7 you can start today: 1. Exit gossip without making a scene ↳ Staying silent shows more strength than speaking. ↳ Rehearse one polite line to leave the room without drama. 2. Say “I don’t know” with confidence ↳ Admitting gaps builds more trust than pretending. ↳ Say, “I’ll check and get back to you,” and follow through. 3. Remember what matters to others ↳ Respect grows when people feel seen. ↳ Jot down details after calls and use them next time. 4. Stay calm when others don’t ↳ Stress is contagious. Making composure very powerful. ↳ Schedule 5-minute buffers between meetings to reset. 5. Take feedback without defence ↳ Feedback often triggers our need to protect, explain, or justify. ↳ Instead, thank them, reflect in private, then act. 6. Stand up for what’s right ↳ Silence can feel like agreement. ↳ Always speak up, even if it feels very scary. 7. Be early ↳ It shows you respect others’ time. ↳ Instead, set alerts 10 minutes before meetings. Most of these take under 60 seconds. But the impression they leave can last forever. What's your go-to habit for building respect?  I would love to know below! ♻️ Repost this to help others build quiet respect And follow Josh S. for more like this!

Don’t stay somewhere that drains your soul. It’s the slowest road to a life of regret: Whether that’s staying in: - A role you dread - A draining relationship - A group that holds you back It’s never worth the cost to your well-being. But why do we cling to places that harm us? The main reasons often include: ↳ Feeling like we’ve invested too much ↳ Fear of what happens next ↳ Loyalty taken too far Here’s what to try if you feel stuck in the wrong space: 1. Reflect and write it down ↳ Give yourself time to see the full picture ↳ List the ups and downs with total clarity 2. Lean on others ↳ Share your thoughts with people you trust ↳ Try online communities to see a different perspective 3. Start improving yourself ↳ Pinpoint what could help you grow from here ↳ Learn, study, or upskill for your next chapter 4. Set your timeline to leave ↳ Break down each step and set dates ↳ Track progress and adjust as needed 5. Make your exit ↳ Take action and commit to your decision ↳ Have support around you as you transition Know that leaving won’t be simple. It might be the toughest step you take. But life’s too short to be stuck in resentment. When you’re in the right space, you become: - More energised - More at peace - A version of you that thrives And who doesn’t want that? ♻️ Repost this to help someone else find their right room And follow Josh S. for more!

The harsh truth no one prepares you for. You can be replaced... easily. With the increase in layoffs and developments in AI It's a scary time for job security. So naturally it’s never been easier to choose work... Over everything else. Losing your job is terrifying. So you try to prove your worth every single day. But here’s the truth... no job is truly secure. So you’ve got to make sure you’re actually living, too. Feeling stretched too thin?  Try these to take back control: 1. Block Out Time That Matters ↳ Carve out time for people who fill you up. ↳ Be there fully—no scrolling, no multitasking. 2. Build Breathing Space Into Your Week ↳ Add buffers between meetings or calls. ↳ Give your mind space to recharge properly. 3. Limit After-Hours Access ↳ Stop checking emails outside of hours. ↳ Let colleagues know when you're offline. 4. Take Guilt-Free Breaks ↳ You don’t need to earn your rest. ↳ A 10-minute reset can shift your whole day. It's possible to have a great career and a good life. Just don’t forget... They can replace you at work, but not at home. Protect your peace. Prioritise what counts. ♻️ Repost this for those that need to read it.  Follow Josh S. for more !

Ships that wait for the perfect wind never sail. Don't pay the price of inaction. So much time is wasted waiting. Here's the harsh truth: The perfect moment doesn't exist.  And you will always feel like you're not ready. Because inaction comes at a high cost: ↳ Lost time ↳ Missed chances ↳ Confidence that slowly disappears This leads us to deeply feel regret and self-doubt  You then look back and wonder what could’ve been. So don’t wait. Move. Here are 4 steps to break the cycle of inaction: 1. Name the fear ↳ Write down exactly what you’re avoiding ↳ Say it out loud to remove its power 2. Shrink the step ↳ Break your task into one small move ↳ Ask: “What’s the 10-minute version of this?” 3. Set a consequence ↳ Give £20 to a friend if you don’t act ↳ Or text them your goal and deadline 4. Create a ritual ↳ Same time, same place every day ↳ Pair it with something you enjoy (for me it's coffeeee) Progress doesn’t come from waiting. It comes from doing... Especially when it’s messy. What’s one thing you’ve been putting off? Drop it below. Let’s get moving. ♻ Repost this if someone you know needs to hear it. Follow Josh S. for more like this.
