Hi everyone! 

I'm Niall, on a mission to build a startup from the ground up. My aim here is to document my entire journey from start to finish and share my ups and downs with anyone who wants to follow along.

Starting a business is always challenging and requires hard work, dedication, and persistence. However, I am up for the challenge and willing to share my ups and downs with anyone who wants to listen. 

I know it will be a long road ahead, but one which I'm very excited about it. Let the build commence 🫡🌍

I'm currently sitting on the train heading down to London for an exciting meeting.

A meeting which will hopefully get us closer to our startup mission and goals.

1 valuable lesson that cost me 3K.

I thought saving money was the best option when building a startup. But that's not always the case.

And definitely not when it comes to product design.

I'm trying to create a premium product.

So why didn't I spend the money on a premium designer? Someone who gets the finer details.

It's a lesson that cost me 3k 💵

I thought taking the easiest and cheapest route would benefit my startup in the long run.

But it's turned out the complete opposite. You spend money for knowledge and expertise.

Guess it's time for designer number 2. Let's get it!

It's only a problem if you make it a problem.

I'm currently away and feel more inspired than ever.

I've been away in Marbella for nearly a week now.

Working in the sun and eating good food.

Being in this environment has opened my eyes to the goals I want to achieve in my lifetime.

It's time to be focused more than ever.

1 year ago I was:

- A dreamer
- A people pleaser.
- A talker with no action.

Today I am:

- Working on my dream.
- Doing what is best for me.
- Building the life I want in the future.

I started believing in myself and taking daily action.

But most importantly. I started learning every single day.

The moment you stop learning is the moment you get left behind.

Building a startup is not what you think.

You're expected to:

- Sell out.
- Be happy 24/7.
- Make zero mistakes.
- Be an overnight success.

But it's the opposite:

- You'll fail.
- You'll be lonely.
- You'll be doubted.
- You'll want to give up.

Building a startup is hard, but you've got to stay focused, humble and keep moving forward.

You've got this!

Comments I get daily as a 22-year-old startup founder.

- You'll fail.
- You can't do this.
- That's a challenging market.
- You're wasting your life away.

It may look like that to you. But to me:

- If I don't try, I'll live with regret.
- Why can't I do it if other people have?
- Every market is challenging, but people still do it.

But most importantly, I'm loving every moment of building a brand.

The ups. The downs. Everything in between.

I stopped letting people dedicate my life.

Now I Live it the way I want to live it.

It's growth season!

How to build a startup overnight...

YOU DON'T!

Building a startup takes years of

- Grit.
- Failure.
- Hard work.
- Determination.

If you're expecting to come in a build an overnight success, think again.

The aim whilst building a startup is to survive.

So, take your time, stay focused, and keep working hard.

Success will come, but it won't be overnight.

Yesterday we had our first in-person meeting with our branding partners at HYD Studio.

It feels weird and exciting to see something we genuinely believe in starting to come to life.

After carrying out more research to figure out our customer personas and the vision for the brand.

We decided to reach out to Thea and the team at Hyd Studio to help with something we struggled with.

It's not every day you get to work with a luxury branding designer that has worked with multi-million-pound businesses.

Next month we're excited to announce.

The brand name, logo, and identity.

Underatted skills of startup founders:

Works well with others = Teamwork
Builds solid relationships = Communication
Taking on people's feedback = Problem solving
Changing/rescheduling meetings times = Adapting

Everyone looks at hard skills.

But soft skills build startups.

80% of startups fail. Here's why.

- Neglect health.
- Neglect feedback
- Neglect Consistency.
- Neglect market research.
- Neglect help or guidance.

You can either put in the work or don't.

I'll leave that up to you.

The reality of building a startup. Don't believe the hype.

- You'll need to work more than you think.
- You'll go wrong more than you go right.
- You'll have sleepless nights.
- Your family will doubt you.
- You'll lose friends.
- You'll be lonely.

People do a great job at making startup life look glamorous. But the truth is it's the complete opposite.

Don't be fooled!

Founders ditch the 24/7 serious act.

Yes, you'll have more failures than wins.

But remember why you started. Then find ways to:

- Enjoy it.
- Have a laugh.
- Embrace the failures.
- Embrace the lowest lows.

Building a startup is a lengthy process.

Enjoy every moment, and stop taking yourself so seriously all the time.
