RWJUH is the flagship hospital of the Robert Wood Johnson Barnabas Health System and the teaching hospital for Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The RWJUH campus includes the 105-bed Bristol Meyers Squibb Children’s Hospital.

o	Led organizational turnaround and transformation in patient, family, and employee experience. Led data strategy, cultural transformation, and patient experience clinical practice. Focus on leadership development for both nursing and physician leadership to drive sustainable performance in HCAHPS scores. Led efforts to streamline access including improving call center and scheduling experience for patients.

Adventist HealthCare

I was promoted to lead the vision, strategy, and execution for all facets of the newly created Patient Experience, Digital Health, and Innovation departments based on previous success transforming Urgent Care operations. Here, I manage a team of 26, facilitate a service culture, clearly define patient care behaviors, and implement a digital health strategy enterprise-wide. I’m a key member of the Executive Leadership Team and established and chair the Patient Experience Council. I turned around the performance of the Philanthropy/Fundraising Department.

Highlights of my accomplishments include:

•Transformed the patient experience and substantially increased patient experience scores by gaining critical stakeholder buy-in to develop and implement a new patient interaction model called “Bridging the GAP” (deployed across 7k employees). 
•Patient experience scores improved from the 41st percentile (State) and the 31st percentile (National) to the 75th percentile (State) and the 53rd percentile (National) in just 2 years, despite the COVID19 pandemic. 
•Adopted a new data management strategy across Adventist HealthCare incorporating the customer voice using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to analyze quantitative and qualitative data down to unit level. 
•Drove enhanced development strategies to reignite fundraising for Adventist HealthCare and grew from $3M to $7M. Concurrently decreased fundraising cost to raise a dollar from .84 to .36, simplified the process, and reduced the administrative burden. Restructured the 20-person department and increased the pipeline.
•Implemented new processes for deploying initiatives and monitoring compliance while collecting user feedback, training leaders and staff in patient experience best practices, and cultivating grateful patients for foundation engagement. 
•Developed vision and strategy for digital transformation through a partnership with Salesforce.

In this role, I led a turnaround of the underperforming Urgent Care division. I set a forward-thinking, growth-focused strategy to drive unprecedented growth, overhaul outdated processes, improve infrastructure, and enhance culture. I managed a $6M budget, 40 employees, and operations across 3 5k sq/ft urgent care locations. I oversaw all facets of HR, finance, contracting, patient experience, and physician relations.

Highlights of my accomplishments include:

•Achieved record-setting patient volume growth within the whole company at 36% YoY over the industry standard of 2% in 1 year.
•Increased profitability by 20%. 
•Transformed Urgent Care into a referral pipeline and improved patient experience.
•Created dashboards to measure progress in alignment with company mission and increase visibility. Enhanced workflows, processes, and data collection.
•Reworked the hiring process from the initial manager screening level to employee onboarding. Incorporated interview team panels to help assess talent. Reduced labor costs by $100K in the first year. 
•Revamped the employee orientation process, personally meeting with new hires, encouraging professional development, and building strong relationships.

I took ownership of the established state and local programs while developing and executing a new federal strategy to connect the hospital to federal officials. I served as a member of the management committee for the Adventist Health Policy Association (AHPA).

Highlights of my accomplishments include:

•Successfully advocated for federal legislation to create and fund a federal program for research on childhood mental health.
•Secured YoY funding in perpetuity for early childhood mental health programs.
•Drove organizational change at AHPA including hiring their first full time Executive Director and opening its first office in Washington, DC.

I managed 4 board policy committees and represented the chamber to local, state, and federal policy makers, community members, and local organizations. I advocated for legislation in Maryland.

Highlights of my accomplishments include:

•Authored a white paper on how to best structure an economic development association, later adopted by the county.
•Successfully advocated for 2 bills that became law to strengthen opportunities for small businesses in Maryland. 
•Launched the Chamber’s social media presence on Twitter. 
•Secured federal funding for the Veterans Institute for Procurement which allows procurement trade training for veterans.
