July 2022: I quit my stable 9 to 5 finance job. Oct 2022: I started my marketing agency, which made 3x of my salary. Oct 2023: My agency made over $100K in a year. Dec 2023: Took my first sponsored international trip. June 2024: Bought my first car. Apr 2025: Working with my dream clients The point is, personal branding is slow, but it's rewarding. Any profession that you choose will not give you immediate results. Be it freelancing, entrepreneurship, or your 9-to-5. The only hack is to be consistent. Every day. Every week. Every month. Every year. There is no other hack. So if you are just getting started and can't see results, WAIT. Wait for a year and let consistency do its magic. P.S.: It doesn't work only in career. It works in life.
I have worked in the corporate world for 2 years, freelanced for 3, and have been running my own business for 2 years. But one question a lot of people ask me is which career option is better? Honestly, I have met some people who are pretty happy in their corporate life and would never do freelancing or their own business. And then there are people who are freelancers and entrepreneurs but they will never go back to 9 to 5. And I am one of them too. According to me, freelancing is BEST. In terms of money, freedom and visibility. However, starting something of your own is more rewarding. And 9 to 5 gives you an edge to spend your weekends without any worry in the world. So all 3 career options are equally beneficial depending on your field, perspective and lifestyle. The sad part is freelancing was never a career option until 2021 and I am glad that its finally getting the acknowledgment it deserves.
LinkedIn creators: What if your posts could pay for your rent and daily expenses? (And no, I’m not talking about sponsored content.) Most people think you need 100K followers, a content calendar, and brand collabs to earn as a creator. But lately, I’ve been experimenting with a different approach: Just showing up consistently and using the right tools. One of them is Feedcoyote. It’s a platform that actually rewards you for the content you’re already posting. No pitching. No chasing. You write → you earn → you grow. You also get: > High-intent client leads > Tools to manage them > And incentives just for being active Honestly, it's refreshing to see a platform value creators at every stage. If you’re freelancing, consulting, or creating online, give it a try. You might already be sitting on monetizable work. Here’s the link to download: https://onelink.to/qk5kkq
I quit my 9-5 job in July 2022. Even when I knew what I wanted to do next, it was scary to leave a fixed income. What if entrepreneurship didn't work out? What if I couldn’t sustain my income? What if things didn’t go as I planned them? The thing is, I loved my 9 to 5. But something didn’t click. I thought this was not what I was meant to do. And that thought made me try and explore different things. And one of the major motivations was money. But while I started chasing money, interestingly, I learned a lot. I love writing, but I love writing stories. And personal branding was perfect for me. I could write so many different stories, and help these stories reach to millions was powerful. Now that I look back, I always feel how courageous it was to leave a stable job to chase something that wasn’t even that big of a thing back then. But what might seem simple and small to you might be worth tons of money to someone else. And this quote is just not for this post. IYKYK. Anyways, I am grateful to have started this journey on social media. And I am so grateful to each one of you who decided to be a part of this journey. So whenever you feel lost, just remember that if you won't explore, you won't know the answer.
If you wanna make $20K a month, then you need to STOP doing the work yourself. Automate instead (well at least most of it) Every week, I try bunch of tools to see which ones are the best to automate stuff for my clients. - Feedback on WhatsApp. - Content drafts on Notion. - Scheduling via third-party apps - Engagement and replies - Invoice management - DM management It worked, kind of. But it took way more time than it should’ve. Last week I tried Supergrow and tbh it was really good. Very helpful for agency owners like myself. So, here’s what I like: – No need to ask for LinkedIn credentials (life saver) – Separate workspaces for each client – Built-in approvals and feedback – One dashboard for scheduling + engagement – Clear analytics (no more spreadsheets) One thing that stood out was that there was NO need to get LinkedIn credentials anymore. Loved this feature personally. If you’re managing LinkedIn for multiple clients, this setup might actually save you a lot of time and context switching. It did for me. P.S.: I will share another review in a month to give you a more detailed analysis of this. Let me know if I should do this as a series. Maybe Tuesday Tools or Monday Finds. Lol. Here’s the link to try btw: https://www.supergrow.ai/
Fact: You can actually land your first client in 30 days, and it's not a scam. Yes, I know the internet is filled with fluff websites, and apps are overcrowded with so many people who are looking for leads and projects. But the problem is that it's hard to find the right freelancing app that can help you get good clients from the beginning. And when I was trying to find the clients, I tried tons of websites. But some had leads but no system to collaborate while others had good networks but were not able to request and propose expertise. There was no proper system where I could find everything in one place. After devouring through 100s of websites and tools, I came across a website that does it all. A platform where you can: > collaborate > network > find leads > request and propose expertise Not just that, you can create projects, send invoices, and keep track of all your tasks with the client. This is definitely a great platform for all freelancers. The platform is Feedcoyote, and I cannot recommend this enough. As an agency owner, it organizes all the tedious tasks for me. It has created a community for freelancers to thrive with built-in productivity tools. Here’s the link to join: https://onelink.to/qk5kkq I'll try to share more such platforms where you can actually get leads and projects.
Intel is laying off 21,000 people (20% of its workforce). It's insane. No matter how talented you are, how hard you work, or how loyal you’ve been, sometimes it’s just the market. Sometimes it’s just decisions way above your pay grade. And it got me thinking about one thing that I keep on rethinking: Your skills will always matter. It's always Skills >>> Resumes And your personal brand is what gives you options. When people know who you are, what you stand for, what you’re good at, what you bring to the table, you’re not just tied to a job title or a company. I know personal branding sounds like this fancy internet thing sometimes. But at the end of the day, it’s just "making sure people know your story before you need to tell it". And I would never stress this enough that you need to build your personal brand for your better future. If you've been waiting to start, this is your reminder. Don't wait till it's urgent.
LinkedIn has 134.5 million daily active users. And you only need this ONE formula to grow here: 👇 “Give your audience your best”. Make sure all your posts deliver some value. Here’s a mini guide for you: 📌 What is in it for you? - What’s your end goal? - Why do you want followers? - What’s your revenue target? - Why you are creating content? Now: - Post every day - Write every day - Speak your mind - See comments to make more content 📌 What is in it for your audience? - Why they should read? - Is the content valuable? - If yes, would you read it yourself? - Can they do the same thing? Now: - Turn your followers into fans - Turn comments into leads - Turn likes into DMs - sell authenticity - sell reliability - Add value It’s as SIMPLE. Don’t overcomplicate it. Ask yourself questions and write away. What questions do you ask yourself while writing your posts?

Hot Take: Personal branding isn’t about likes, followers, and leads. It’s about community. Building a community is the added advantage any creator can have today. You wanna stand out? Build a solid community. Storytelling is great, but it will only get you followers, not a community. To build a community, you need to take your audience on a journey. On an adventure. In a mysterious next chapter, where they wonder what you’ll post next. Here’s how I do it: 1. Engage people in the comments 2. Shift the conversations to DMs 3. Jump on Zoom calls with them 4. Create groups for my community to help them (who need it) 5. Allow them to reach out via consultations 6. Meet with them irl 7. Host workshops – online or offline Since Day 1, I didn’t want to have followers, I wanted people who would follow my journey, learn along, and teach others. Should I host a paid webinar? How many of you would be interested?
I got paid ₹350 for my first freelancing project. Now, I charge $1000 to $5000 for a project on average (depending on the requirements). How? By packaging the freelance services well. Here’s how you can package your freelance services if you are a newbie: (step-by-step guide): 📌 First of all, no client likes a standard template of a service proposal. 📌 Make it personal and add OPTIONS while sending it to your client. Make a list of all the freelance services you provide like content writing, marketing, copywriting, graphic designing, campaigns, etc. 📌 Once you make a list, price it up. Now prices usually change based on the clients, their nationality, requirements, etc. This is where “packages” comes into the picture. 📌 Create at least 3 packages in freelancing. 1 - standard package with most-asked deliverables 2 - high-end package with all the services 3- customized package depending on the requirements of your clients 📌 These packages help give options to your clients and help them understand your work in detail. It also saves time in the discovery call with the client because the client is already clear about what he/she wants by looking at the packages. Lesson? Keep mastering the skills and become so good that no one can outperform you. And even if they did, see it as an inspiration, not a competition. It all starts with a positive mindset. P.S.: This is what I did initially. After a point of time, you can change the strategies and do the things that you are getting the most response out of. What was your first freelancing income?
My team went from 12 people to 7 this month. It wasn’t easy, but it was necessary. With AI being so accurate, I do feel there’s less need for writers onboard. I didn’t fire people out of the blue. They were the people who were great writers but could be replaced by GPT. Now, I have writers on my team who are more creative and cannot be replaced by AI. Writers who bring amazing topics to the table and who are creative enough to explore different sides of the same topic. And tbh these are the people who will never be replaced. If you wanna make it as a writer, think creatively and stand out. And make AI your friend. Use AI to come up with better content that gets the clients more leads. We do need more people in our team, but creative. People who give their best and love this job. If you are one, feel free to DM or comment, and I’ll reach out. Always looking for extraordinary people.
You are doing your LinkedIn WRONG. And this is why your engagement sucks. 👇 People focus too much on content. Yes, it’s important. But so is the platform. “Create valuable content?”. Yes, but it might mean different on different platforms. What works on LinkedIn? More actionable, personal and resourceful content. What works on Twitter? More fun, crisp and guides content. What works on YouTube? More in-depth, personal and real content. What works on Newsletters? More detailed, mini-guide, and personal content. Basically, you have to understand the platform to know what kind of content works where. The key is to adapt. Here’s the type of content you can create on the LinkedIn platform in particular: ↳ Carousels – to explain the processes and resources. ↳ Posts with visuals – to attract eyeballs, but also to make it more real and personal. ↳ Quotes – to crisply explain the post in 1-2 sentences and add a long caption. ↳ Videos – to visually explain a topic or provide advice. Understand the platform and content that will automatically perform. Which platform do you like the most? For me, it’s Twitter and LinkedIn.
I work from home 365 days and yet no one talks about how HARD it is. Hear me out. I have worked in corporate and both wfh and built my own company. So I know the difference. It gets so hard sometimes to work from home because the environment is everything. - It gets isolated. And entrepreneurship is lonely. - Celebrations become secondary - Work-life balance fades - Home environment isn’t motivating enough sometimes - More time spent on work chores - Diet becomes secondary While there are so many pros to wfh as well, I am sick of people treating wfh as “easy”. It isn’t; it is just as hard as corporate. Difference? - No commute - More flexibility - More savings - No office politics - Less toxicity - More time for self-reflection But it all comes down and affects your mental health a lot. People should stop treating one based on which one is easy or which one is hard. And need to stop taking wfh for granted. Both the things have their pros and cons and both are equally easy and hard. A job is a job and you willingly sign up for it. We all know wfh is the future because its more convenient. But is it the best way?
Last year, I went off the grid for 10 days when I took an impromptu cruise trip to Dubai. No Instagram. No LinkedIn. No YouTube. Basically, no social media. At all. It wasn’t intentional but there was no internet connection on the cruise. I could only use whatsapp and that too didn’t work instantly. I could only text once or twice a day, no guarantee it would go or not. But tbh, those 10 days were literally the best days of my life. - I had so much time to think about what I want in my life. - Got clarity on some personal life choices. - Spent those days reconnecting with myself - Played games, enjoyed nature ,and had laughs with friends - Had a total detox of my mental health Not sure when it will happen again, but if you ever get a chance, go on a cruise because it will refresh you mentally, physically and emotionally. Or maybe just stop using the phone for 2 days straight up and reconnect with nature and your own self. We have totally forgotten how it feels not to use technology, even for a day. P.S: Sorry this is not a gyaan post, just how I have been feeling lately and reminiscing about the best time I ever had.
