Today, I hit the big 4-0!

Though I didn't make the 40u40 or get to a $40m exit (yet), I do get to play the game every day (until Im 80 or more!)

Here's what four decades have taught me -

💡Embrace change & don't fear failure.

Be it a job, business, people, tech, or grey hair, adaptability is your strongest ally. Setbacks fuel growth and sharpen resilience. Just like a Sine wave, expect highs and lows, it's what makes the journey come alive.  There's something to learn & iterate from every failed day, date, sales call, or even business.

💡Celebrate small wins.

They lead to big successes over time. Focusing on 'what's good' even if it's just noting it in a journal is a superpower. 

💡Build a network, not just a contact list.

Relationships are invaluable, both personally and professionally. In the agency business, results matter but client relationships & client experience matter as much. Keep giving and you'll automatically be invited to take.

💡Stay curious.

Constant learning keeps you ahead of the game. In '20/21, I learned all about Facebook organic marketing. Over the last 2 years, when it comes to Fullstack outbound growth, helping agencies & B2B companies grow, I've been learning all about deliverability, clay-powered GTM, LinkedIn content creation, AI automation, and sales collaboration. Learn from the young and old alike. Curiosity is a big unlock!

💡Make time for what matters.

Especially things like good sleep, gym/yoga, sauna, breathwork, meditation, family outings, or even engaging with interesting LinkedIn posts (like this one!) —physical/mental health fuels happiness which further fuels ambition.

💡 It's not about ticking boxes.

It's about creating a life that truly resonates with who you are while creating value in more ways than what's possible. It’s not about a title or a timeline, but about finding fulfillment in what you do every day. I haven't built a big business or gotten married as yet but that doesn't bog me down as I keep going, working hard & smart.
