🙌 We're thrilled to announce that Owner.com has raised a $120M Series C at a cool $1B valuation led by some of the best investors in the business 🦄 But we didn’t get here by chasing status. 🧑🍳 We got here by chasing the hardest job in America: restaurant ownership. Every single day, we ask ourselves — are we doing enough to match the energy of the people we serve? Because running a restaurant isn’t a 9-to-5. 🏃♂️ It’s a 100+ hour week. It’s late nights, missed birthdays, rent hikes, food cost swings, labor shortages—and still showing up. Owners don’t just own. They mop floors. They make deliveries. They handle guests. They cook. They scrub grease traps and settle disputes and run payroll—sometimes all before noon. They do whatever it takes. ⚡ And if that's what our customers do daily, we need to match that same energy. That’s why our CEO sends personalized Looms to customers thinking about joining Owner. Why our CRO will take a demo at 11:35pm on the last day of the month. Why our CPO joins customer churn calls to listen to feedback directly to help improve the product for future customers. Why every BDR, AE, support agent, launch specialist and manager in this company is in the trenches—learning, adapting, and grinding every day, including some weekends. 🔋 Because if our customer bleeds for their dream, we better be ready to match that with our own. This round of funding doesn’t change our mission. It fuels it. And if you need some more fuel to learn about our mission and potentially join the team, take a look at the video posted on our company LinkedIn page and roles posted below And as we like to say internally "we didn't come this far, just to come this far" 🏇 --> 🦄 = 🐍 🧠
One of the best parts of working in tech is the people you meet along the way. Sometimes it starts with a cold DM, a Slack thread, or a quick intro at an event — and before you know it, that connection turns into a real friendship. That’s been the case for me with Tom Alaimo. Tom’s that guy — thoughtful, supportive, and always pushing for growth. When he was visiting NYC to meet with clients, we were able to grab lunch, work together and catch up. We've gone through many personal / professional growth moments over the last 4+ years so the fact that we've only met a few times, means a lot. Here’s the takeaway when thinking about building your network (professionally / socially): ✅ Don’t treat networking as transactional. ✅ Follow up. Stay in touch. ✅ Book the 20-minute catch-up. ✅ Offer help before asking for it. You never know where one conversation can lead. Appreciate you, Tom and if you're not following the man on his journey to build his business, go follow // shoot him a DM. 🤝
April has taught me this: coaching isn’t about fixing — it’s about unlocking 🔐 April is a big month for us here at Owner. We're taking on one of our biggest challenges to date — and in the process of doing so, made one of the biggest changes to how we operate as an AE team. Instead of grouping people just by timezone, we restructured teams around segment ownership — and it's already paying off in multiple ways. The clarity, the coaching, the collaboration — it’s different. It’s better. Some quick lessons as we gear up to finish April 🦮 1. You can’t talk people into adopting processes — you have to show them. The biggest unlock has been making coaching real and daily. Listening to calls together, whether in team meetings or blocked off during the day. Coaching in the moment. Celebrating the reps who are showing the way and having them lead trainings and answer questions with their peers in Slack. Culture is built through doing — not just explaining. ⚒️ 2. Top performers lean into the full game. Winning here means confirming demos, managing pipeline, helping customers activate, and supporting cross-functional teams. This part is really hard, but its the tiny behaviors that when recognized, show that they matter. This falls in line with our core values such as Building as an Owner. 🧘 3. Presence beats productivity. When you’re with your team, be with your team (I struggle here the most. If I get a slack during a coaching session, my responses are often times too quick and poorly worded. And as a result, the coaching with the person can feel "distracted" because I am trying to do too much) 🙋♂️ 🎯 Turn off Slack off during 1:1s and team meetings. Just do it. especially for the meetings with your direct team that matter most. April's been a ride and its going to be an epic LWOM thats for dang sure. Grateful to be in the fight with this team every day and to also welcome 3 new folks to the team, Trisha Spesick Delwin Lam and Griffin Teller 🙌
Anyone else hear the news?? Nope, it's not the fact the Knicks are up 2-0 against the Celtics in the playoffs It’s Demo Certification Day at Owner! 🏀 💻 Our newest hires Delwin Lam Griffin Teller Trisha Spesick and Kevin Wranovix are in the final days of their onboarding journey this month, gearing up for their ultimate test They’ve already conquered: ✅ Fundamental knowledge cert ✅ ROE cert ✅ Detective mode cert ✅ PCR cert And now, they’re diving into what every AE is most excited about: selling the damn product 🔥 There’s no better feeling as an AE than finally being ready to meet customers and all those who have passed these certs have become some of our top performers over the last few months Today, we plan to welcome four more certified closers into the wild. 💪
LDOM – The Super Bowl of Sales 🏈 We get 12 of them a year — but each one hits different. It’s high-stakes, high-reward, and reminds you why you love the game... even when it drains you. LDOM is a day that defines team. 📈 It’s when you’re already at your number and living in Accelerator City, and your culture is about running up the scoreboard and breaking individual BME or company records. It’s also for those who have been hitting targets for months in a row, who might not be there yet this month—but define themselves with a “can’t miss” attitude. When people ask in interviews, “What makes Owner special?”, I often just say: “It’s the way this team rallies—unlike any team I, or many others, have ever been a part of. From start to finish, this team gives it everything they’ve got." 🏃♂️ We’ve got another special one in the books coming—and to all those pushing on this LDOM: Maximize your accelerators if you’re in AC and run up the scoreboard If you’re chasing your target, you got this 🤝
