📍 The Start
In May 2020 I joined Sparkademy as the team's first product person, and first full-time employee. The team consisted of our founder, a part-time back end engineer and a couple of interns. 

🔥 The Problem
Our bootstrapped startup had signed its first enterprise client, and our product was still mostly manual processes behind the scenes, strapped to a simple landing page UI. We were sending users to other course websites instead of providing our own courses (!). We had to quickly (a) professionalise our offer, (b) deliver a better experience to our users and (c) make our offer more scalable in terms of internal processes. Keeping our first enterprise client depended on it.

🏅 Achievements
As a product manager my impact can best be measured by the impact our team of amazing engineers and designers had on our users, clients, and our business. 

👥 Team achievements
(1) We grew user NPS from -15 (2020) to a 60-80 range (2022). Contributions came from our amazing content creation team, and our product team who delivered new UX and amazing features. 
(2) Contributed to high client satisfaction and retention by addressing user issues within days.

👤 Individual achievements
(1) Focus: Helped shape the company vision and mission, and defined product vision and strategy in collaboration with our entire team. Instituted a goal-driven company culture by implementing OKR.
(2) Culture: Transformed the product culture from doing one-off discovery sprints to continuous discovery leading to at least 1 user interview / week. 
(3) Team: Team happiness and productivity was high throughout my tenure, according to quarterly 'team health checks'.

📍 The Start
I joined the team as the third Manager Innovation, after completing my Masters in Business Innovation at the University of St. Gallen (HSG).

🔥 The Problem
The Incubation department was the first of its kind in the company, and needed to show success quickly. I joined the first projects mitipi.com and Flink (Digital Insurance) to solve that challenge with our teams.

🏅 Achievements
(1) Helped raise 7-figures after just 6 months for one venture by validating market size, user needs, and building a pitch together with the team lead.
(2) Helped sell the first ever monthly insurance subscription online by co-designing the entire Flink (Digital Insurance) UX and managing product development with a remote team in Serbia.
(3) Received overwhelmingly positive user reviews on social media for an insurance experience that (at the time) was a first of its kind.

📝 My roles and duties
(1) Joint responsibility for the implementation of the functional strategy Innovation 
(2) Collaboration in / management of (digital) innovation projects and business model innovations from idea to market launch
(3) Concrete application of innovation methods (e.g. Business Model Navigator, Design Thinking, Lean Start-Up, Growth Hacking) in various innovation projects
(4) Support for projects promoting a culture of innovation in Helvetia
(5) Conducting research around market changes and trends
(6) Collaboration with start-ups promoting Helvetia's digital transformation and the implementation of novel business models
(7) Collaboration in digital innovation projects in fleet management

Flink

📍 The Start
Flink was a corporate startup at Helvetia Insurances. I joined the project lead 6 months in as the head or product, leading 3 engineers and a UX designer in Serbia.

🔥 The Problem
The team had gotten an agency to build their MVP. This collaboration was costing us too much, so we decided to rebuild the team and our product with the learnings we had gathered so far. We were expected to show traction within 6 months, or the project could be killed. 

🏅 Achievements
(1) Complete user experience redesign for the website and web application, leading to positive customer feedback and growth through increased referrals among customers.
(2) Helped sell the first ever monthly insurance subscription online by co-designing the entire Flink (Digital Insurance) UX and managing product development with a remote team in Serbia.
(3) Received overwhelmingly positive user reviews on social media for an insurance experience that (at the time) was a first of its kind.
