I’m a passionate believer that entrepreneurs and small businesses are the real backbone of our country’s economy. After college, I spent 8 years working in investment banking in the Louisville (my hometown) office of a New York firm. Then, I took a deep breath and started my own business. In the early years, I struggled and earned an advanced degree from the School of Hard Knocks. I will always remember my mother kept calling asking when I would get a "real" job! The struggle was worth it and over some 30 more years I managed to build a $7+ figure legal publishing business. In the process of building the business, we spent litterly $100,000’s on legal research and lawyers. As a result, I became an expert in identifying top lawyers, negotiating their charges, and obtaining good value. However, spending $400-$500+ an hour gets expensive fast.
