Imposter syndrome is a silent killer. 5 tips to beat it (and change your life 🔥) — ☝🏼 Step 1: Recognize Your Fixed Mindset Negative self-talk sounds like: ↳ “I’m not good enough.” ↳ “I always mess up.” ↳ “I’m too quiet.” These aren’t facts—they are negative thoughts. Recognizing them is the first step. — ✌🏼 Step 2: Get Comfortable Being Uncomfortable Growth lives outside your comfort zone. ↳ Want to improve public speaking? Say yes to that presentation. ↳ Want to become a program manager? Raise your hand to lead that project. ↳ Want to create content? Start posting 3x a week. The more you stretch, the more you grow. — 🤟🏼 Step 3: Seek Meaningful Feedback Feedback starts with you. ↳ Do a weekly retro: What worked? What didn’t? What’s next? ↳ Ask colleagues or friends: What should I do more of? Less of? Feedback is a gift for growth. — 🖖🏼 Step 4: Detach Your Self-Worth From Work You are more than your job. Grow in areas that align with your values: ↳ Nurture relationships. ↳ Pursue passion projects. ↳ Volunteer or give back. ↳ Prioritize hobbies that bring joy. — 🖐🏼 Step 5: Add “…Yet” to Reframe Turn self-doubt into self-belief with one word: “Yet.” ↳ “I’m not a great leader…yet.” ↳ “I’m not in my dream job…yet.” ↳ “I’m not a skilled writer…yet.” If you can’t beat fear, just do it scared. If not you, then who? What’s ONE step you can take today? 👇🏼 Repost to inspire someone who needs to hear it & follow Jean Kang for more 🙏🏼 📌 P.S. I just shared exactly how I went to SXSW as a speaker (and on my first try). No gatekeeping, read it here (and join me next year!) https://lnkd.in/e5SFP-x6 Quote Credit: Steven Bartlett
A job is not your life. It’s a means to live your life. Here’s why: Jobs are disposable. No matter how good or loyal you are. That’s why you need to future-proof your career. And the best way to do that is to INVEST. IN. YOURSELF. 🟢 Here are 11 simple ways to start: 1. Block 30 minutes a day to read 2. Practice saying “no” to things that drain you 3. Optimize your LinkedIn profile as a landing page 4. Take one online course in something that excites you (try AI prompting or project management) 5. Write your own definition of success (then chase that) 6. Ask a colleague for feedback and actually implement it 7. Journal your wins weekly to build confidence and clarity 8. Set boundaries with work — burnout isn't a badge of honor 9. Reach out to someone you admire and ask for a 15-minute chat 10. Join a mastermind, Slack community, or online forum in your niche 11. Create a personal mission statement — who are you without the job title? Remember, you are the best investment you can make 🙏🏼 💎 P.S. And if you're into actionable tips, try out my newsletter. Monday, I'm sharing 3 steps to finding your dream job even in this *chaotic* market. How to network as an introvert I just came back from SXSW + NVIDIA GTC. Here’s my secret for networking (as an introvert): You don’t need to be the life of the party. It’s about building real, human connections—one person at a time. ☝🏼 Step 1: Redefine “networking” ↳ It’s not being ‘salesy’ ↳ It’s simply being curious about other people. ↳ Ask: “What brings you here?” or “What’s been a highlight for you so far?” __ ✌🏼 Step 2: Play to your introvert strengths ↳ Listen more than you talk. ↳ Go deep, not wide—1-2 quality convos > 20 surface ones. ↳ Find quieter spaces (hallway chats > loud mixers). ↳ Follow up later with a thoughtful DM or email. Like this: ”I really enjoyed our chat about leaving our corporate jobs to build something meaningful at [X event]. If you’re ever in the Bay Area, I’d love to take you out to some of my favorite eateries! Here’s my LinkedIn: [link].” __ 🤟🏼 Step 3: Set your own goals ↳ “I’ll have 2 meaningful convos today.” ↳ “I’ll connect with someone in my industry.” ↳ “I’ll follow up with 3 people after the event.” You don’t need to be the loudest voice in the room. You just need to show up as you. Quality > quantity every time. And yes, introverts can be amazing networkers 💙 P.S. Want to meet me in NYC and attend one of the hottest networking events? I’m going to the O/O/O Summit built for entrepreneurs, creators & builders looking to take their businesses + networks to the next level hosted by Carry and Andrew. And the speaker lineup is 🔥 Think of legends like Justin Welsh , Sahil Bloom, Simram Kaur and Andrew Yang just to name a few. I’m running a special giveaway to share 1 free ticket to join me. Just repost ♻️ + comment "OOO" and I’ll select ☝🏼 lucky winner to join me May 16 in NYC 📆

Being an introvert is a superpower. And my friend Lorraine? She’s proof of that. 🥹 She doesn’t walk into a room needing to be the loudest. She doesn’t perform. She doesn’t over-explain. But somehow… she always leaves an impression. And that’s what her new book is about: 𝘜𝘯𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 It’s a playbook for professionals who want to… ☝🏼 Lead with more influence ✌🏼 Speak with more confidence 🤟🏼 And show up in a way that gets remembered Whether you're hosting a meeting or giving a keynote, Lorraine’s framework helps you show up in a way that actually feels like you. If you’ve ever thought, “I have value to share, but I’m not sure how to get others to see it”— this is the book you need. ↳ Pre-order it here: https://lnkd.in/gT3H-rqj ↳ Bonus: There are some ✨amazing✨ pre-order gifts Proud of you, Lorraine 💛
