I suffered a very bad back injury and gained 80lbs in 18 months. I was 2 years into being a fitness coach and thought I knew everything. Yet, when I couldn’t workout 12hrs per week, I discovered that my ‘perfect’ nutrition did nothing to keep me from gaining weight - even when I starved myself for months! All the ‘conventional’ advice that I had given my clients - eat low fat, cut calories to lose fat, go to the gym everyday, get your cardio in, eat ‘negative calorie foods’… NONE of it worked anymore. That’s when I realized that I had been ‘getting away’ with bad nutrition by over-exercising. And that over-exercising caught up to me with a back injury. I was stuck. Not only was I frustrated and embarrassed, but I was also worried. Diabetes runs in my family. And I had promised myself that I would never let my body get ‘like this’ or ever let my health get to the point where a doctor would prescribe me medication. So, instead of turning to other ‘diets’ to follow. I started reading research, learning physiology, and trying to understand how genetics and your health history affects fat loss. And when I found the answer, it was the opposite of what everyone was saying. I started implementing what I learned not only with myself, but with my clients. The results I got for my clients (and myself) were life changing! Health issues resolved and stubborn fat dropped off like it was nothing. On top of that, they only exercised 2-3 hours per week! And my clients with health conditions, who had been stuck for years, had 25+lbs to lose, and had been working with trainers/coaches for years with no results - they were completely stunned! I knew I needed to bring what I learned to more women. Women like you.
