This position has given me experience building and running successful paid Facebook advertisements, growing social media followings organically, writing press releases, designing print marketing materials, setting up email marketing campaigns, and developing a social media strategy that can be implemented across the 9 UK studios.

Volunteering as the team photographer for the ladies football, capturing all of the action of their home matches and providing them with imagery they can use on their social media pages. Involves frequent use of Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop to edit the final images.

I volunteered to help produce content and manage their social media account to retain a connection with their customers during the COVID-19 Lockdown. It has taught me about what makes content engaging, the importance of brand consistency, and how to produce targeted commercial content that expresses their core values. 

During this position I took on numerous tasks, which included:

- Creating photographic and graphic content for the Facebook page.
- Designing a website using Wix.
- Added the business to online directories.
- Used Adobe InDesign to create a menu for the website.
- Responded to customer comments and messages via. Facebook.

I have  increased the page’s likes from 979 in March 2020 to 1,310 in September 2020, which is a 33.81% increase. This has been achieved by increasing the frequency of posts and creating content that drives engagement.

Hired by the university, my job was to cover the sports events happening both on and off-campus for the institution, ensuring the content was suitable for both social media and print usage. Photographing fast-paced sports enhanced my practical photography skills, including lens knowledge, as well as time-management and my brand awareness.

I was the photographer for the Manchester-based magazine producing both live coverage and promotional portrait content on a regular basis. I was also occasionally writing reviews of live 
performances. During my time spent volunteering at this organisation, I was able to develop my content writing skills, created unique images, and also met tight deadlines that the publication set for me.

Within this position, I was regularly covering live music events around Manchester for Manchester Metropolitan University’s student-run lifestyle magazine. This position meant that I had to be organised, meet deadlines, and proactive search for photo opportunities for the magazine.

As a waitress, I developed excellent customer service skills and became the head waitress, giving me the various responsibilities, such as: 

- Being in charge of the 90+ capacity restaurant
- Training new members of staff
- Taking cash and card payments
- Providing excellent customer service
- Working as part the team
- Taking direction from the manager

This experience not only improved my leadership skills, but also taught me how to be organised to ensure that I could take on multiple responsibilities and complete all tasks to the highest standard. It was here that I developed a keen eye for detail and my communication skills improved greatly during my time at The Fox Inn.

Volunteering for Counteract as a music photographer, I was my job to provide them with creative and unique photographs that documented the music events that happened around Birmingham city centre. It was this experience that helped to develop my creativity, fulfilling the company's need to have appealing visual content that would attract people to their online articles.
