After receiving multiple questionable record deals, I decided I could do better and launched my first company. Experiencing the trouble of being an entrepreneur, I learned that the way we teach entrepreneurship and help early-stage corporate ventures was not the most efficient way. We are handling corporate ventures as smaller versions of more prominent companies, which leads to the wrong activities and investments, literally destroying time and capital. This is why I started BW Ventures 6 years ago. I could do better. We’ve helped over 200 startups in their quest to find a durable and scalable business model. By helping with a structured, customer-centric process, that helps them figure out why, how, and what they do. Even after finding a commercially feasible model, corporate ventures are still struggling to find their first investment to launch version 1.0 of their product.
