I never grew up healthy.

I came from an economy where moms would feed their kids creamer instead of milk, or margarine instead of butter - just because those were cheaper.

One thing I always tell my (x-teen year old) mentees:

Your brain believes what you repeat to it. Feed it a clear picture of who you want to be, and you will start TO BE.

Ironically, this also works for 30-50 year old entrepreneurs.

I ran a workshop on a cruise ship last week for Nomad Cruise .

My topic was about science and delusion. Specifically, two tools I use constantly: rapid rewiring and visualization.

After my workshop, a few people came up to me.

"I can't believe you changed my mind in 20 minutes"

And I thought about my teens. 

They come to my coaching sessions convinced they're lazy, or broken, or just not built for success.

What those teens actually need is the same thing the entrepreneurs in that room needed:

- Permission to stop white-knuckling it. 
- A way to work with their nervous system instead of against it. 
- A clear picture of who they're becoming, not just who they're failing to be right now.

If you work with young people, or you're raising one, the tools that help the most driven adults in the room are the same ones that help a 15-year-old get out of bed and face the day.

The nervous system doesn't care how old you are.

Fix the foundation. Watch the person show up.
