The number one lesson I have learned after 15 years of training people is that training must be customized to the people you are teaching in order for it to be effective. Over the long term it saves money, saves time, and has more impact. The problem is, people don't think this is possible for their organization. They don't know where to start, what to train, or who to talk to. My goal is to make you believe it is possible. You can follow my content to learn how to do it yourself. You can hire me for a workshop and I can teach you. You can partner with Better Every Day Studios and we will build it for you. My journey started in the United States Air Force, where I served as an Instructor Pilot in the T-1 and KC-10 aircraft. While not flying, I pursued my passion for triathlons, and in 2013, I completed the challenging Ironman Lake Tahoe. After dedicating nine years to the Air Force, I transitioned to SpaceX, where I assumed the role of Manager of Training and Development. In that capacity, my team was responsible for various aspects of training, including new hire orientation, employee and leader development, and technical training covering areas such as Environmental Health and Safety compliance, production, and engineering skills. After four and a half years at SpaceX, I decided to embark on a new adventure, joining a technology start-up. There, I developed a global operations onboarding program, sales training, and various leader development initiatives. Today, I am passionate about working with businesses of all sizes, primarily in the aerospace and energy sectors. My focus is on creating customized learning content and delivering impactful employee training to drive behavioral change, enhance performance, and foster an organizational culture where people love to be a part of. This change comes from working through a four-part framework. Step 1: Streamline compliance training to save time and resources. Step 2: Create amazing manager training so your leaders are prepared to lead. Step 3: Build an onboarding experience that decreases ramp time and new hire turnover. Step 4: Systematically build training programs to address specific performance needs in the company. Alongside my civilian endeavors, I continue my military service as a Reserve Officer, providing support to the U.S. Space Force. I reside in Los Angeles, CA, with my wife and daughter, cherishing every moment of our life together.
