Imagine you're the pilot of a small plane. In the plane is your partner and child. You hold their life in your hands. The plane is owned by your rich friend, but he has more than one plane. In the back seat are people who help you deliver on what the plane can do: a plane mechanic, a navigator, a backup pilot, a chef to help cook for everyone when you arrive at your destination and a bartender to help make drinks. You start the journey down the runway, and half way you realise that you may not make it. Perhaps you're too heavy? Perhaps you'll run out of fuel? Perhaps the runway is too short? In all cases, the only way out of it is to spend more money. But you're almost out of money as you're paying for your trip and all the people onboard. Now, re-imagine this problem by applying the same word 'runway' to the funding of a startup business, what would you do? That is when I come in. I’m Prateek. I’m naturally curious and experimental, that's why I love to help entrepreneurs find ways to go from a cold introduction to actual meetings with investors. I especially love helping entrepreneurs that are those close to running out of money and networks but with tremendous potential if they win.
