I wear a lot of different hats - keynote speaker, social strategist at DDB and personal branding expert. But my heart passion comes down to one focus - content creation. And I wish I start sooner. Growing up I was always told that I would never make it as a creator and I would never make it in the world of social. But here I am, challenging every 'no' I was ever told and sharing my story to inspire others to start chasing their dreams.

I got married!💍🥂

This isn't my typical kind of content, but a few weeks ago I tied the knot.

I don't have any personal branding spiel or life lessons to add, it's honestly just an exciting life update. And as someone who shares a lot of their life online, this felt only right to get to share it with my community here. 🫶

My personal brand might be going through a massive change… 

My annual leave has officially started because I’m getting married next week! 💍

A big part of my personal brand over the years has been “Rosie Chong - the 9-5 personal branding gal”. And I’ve been asked recently if I’m going to change my name, especially since I share so much of my life online tying it to my full name. 🤔

Truth is - I don’t know what I’m going to do. 

But the best part? My name is only part of my personal brand. It’s made up of so much more; my area of expertise, the style of content I share and even my tone of voice. 

So even if I come back with a new last name, I’m still the same old personal branding gal I’ve always been 🫶

Where have I been?! 👀

I've had many conversations in recent weeks with creators who are feeling the burn out and a weird change in the winds on this platform. I'll be the first to admit I lost my own creative passion. 

I've disappeared over the last few weeks, channeling my creativity elsewhere:
📸Running FMCG photoshoots 
💻Bringing on new clients 
📲Growing my TikTok 

But I think there's one constant that remains when it comes to building a personal brand on LinkedIn, and its recognising when you need to pivot. Whether it's algorithm changes, career shifts or a new purpose, that's the power in being control of your own personal brand. 

So although my LinkedIn hiatus was a little longer than planned, let's remember that taking a pause isn't something to be ashamed about. 

But I've missed you all - how is everyone?! I get married in two weeks so that's my big life update! 👇🏼

I used to be scared of AI…🫣

But now I’ve learned to finally embrace it and make it work for AND with me.
