Through my time at NewsCorp, I worked as a Client Service Executive in the Agency Sales team. In this role I assisted Sales Account Managers in developing and responding to competitive client media briefs that come to life in the digital, print and social space. On the daily I would maintain external and internal client relationships managing consistent communication between key sales, media agency contacts, direct clients and internal brand specialists. One of the biggest strategies to growing a community on LinkedIn is to spend time in the comments section (both your own and others). It generates reach, it builds real connections and boosts your credibility.🚀
 
But sometimes you can’t do it all, especially if you’re balancing a few commitments.

->you can't be everything to everyone, so find your area of expertise and double down

->a creator is only as strong as their community, so it's time to put in the work and get engaging

Reality check of building a personal brand and working a 9-5🫣

I don’t always stick to a consistent schedule. 

Working a full time job & being a part time content creator, it means every week looks a little different. I try to keep to regular upload days and times, but reality is it doesn’t always work out this way.  

🚨here’s my secret🚨
Consistency looks a little different for me. Instead of set upload days, consistency can also mean: in my content pillars, my tone of voice & my format 

You have to show up consistently to grow, but consistency has a lot of meanings.

Well it’s all in how you define personal branding. 

For most, it’s about your online reputation that can be curated by you, through the content you share as a thought leader. But this isn’t the only way.

Posting content online isn’t for everyone, but building a personal brand is.

Schedule your content in advance! 

The best I usually do is write and schedule my content a few hours before going live. I've never been able to sit down and write a week or a month's worth of content in one sitting. 

I do my best writing on the fly, so that works for me. But sometimes life gets in the way, and so I'm not always as consistent as I could be.🫣

However, if you're just starting out or wanting to take your personal brand seriously, I strongly advice you plan your content ahead of time.

I quit my first full time job after just 12 months. 😳

I was so naive I thought I deserved a promotion and a pay rise after just one year into my career. 🙃

Early in my career I struggled with feeling guilty in taking a lunch break.
