In her efforts to support the family, she moved abroad to Japan, where she has been residing for close to 2 decades. The challenges of settling and establishing multiply when a person wants to do it abroad. Dr. Subrina knew it all too well and was duly prepared to tough it out no matter what. Despite the troubled times, her perseverance paid dividends. Dr. Subrina chose the healthcare sector to honor her father and help as many people as possible. On that note, she has screened over one million women in her hometown and village for gestational diabetes. She launched a program to raise rural women's awareness about their health. During a survey, she discovered that many rural women had never undergone a health checkup. She knew that no one would come forward if she did not help them.
