One of the biggest realisations of my life so far: Understanding the concept of ARBITRAGE. lemme explain: During my freelancing days, I served the Indian market. Less pay. More clients. It’s in levelling up your skills and finding a market that pays you 10x more for the same job. And with the Internet, learning skills and finding an international opportunity have never been this easy. - Learn a skill. - Build a personal brand. - And target overseas markets. That’s how you play smart.
This one thing changed how I see Growth marketing. So we have that fancy stuff about Growth all over the internet: - all that hacking - all that optimisation - all those small hacks & tactics And that’s what growth marketers do, right? Even I had the same view towards growth. Only to realise I was wrong after a convo with my manager. Growth is not about hacks or tactics. It’s about prioritising things that would have a maximum impact with the least amount of effort. Which may include deliberately : - saying no to obvious things - saying no to the new channels. - saying no to reinventing the wheel. Because there are gazillion things under the sun that you can do to grow your company. But what would you choose based on the time and resources you have to get the max results with the least effort? And that’s what Growth is my friends. It's ruthless prioritisation.
