•	Designed and developed the architecture, user experience and code for HireHunt; an interactive, gamified, AI-powered recruitment technology platform to help the right applicants and employers find each other without bias.

•	Started co-sell partnership with Microsoft in 2019 to target their SMB and enterprise customers in exchange for utilizing Azure instances.

•	Co-wrote scripts and performed the ‘voice over’ for HireHunt’s original video content which has reached over 4 million organic views online.

•	Signed revenue-share partnership in 2019 with Silicon Oasis Dubai to provide HireHunt recruitment software to over 1000 companies within DTEC.

•	Led the pitch and application of HireHunt at Smart City Dubai 2018 to be selected from 1000 entries and attended Smart City Dubai program 2018 sponsored by Smart Dubai, Visa, Orange, etc.

Basil is an experienced software developer, product manager, technology entrepreneur, published author and international speaker with over 15 years experience. Throughout his career, he has worked on a variety of challenging and creative products with increasing levels of responsibility, complexity, impact and scale. His tech marketing strategies and executions have reached over 4 million people online organically and he has appeared on numerous media outlets such as BBC and OnTV. I glimpsed the future after chatting with Ahmed Abdelrahman, CTO of Bayzat, the region’s top HR tech platform.

A great CTO doesn’t just follow the ball, they see where it’s going. 

Which is easier said than done in these bizarre times.

After our chat, it was clear that Ahmed has the key traits needed from tech leaders in this phase:

1- They know old playbooks won’t work anymore

They’re rewriting new ones like scientists; running experiments with AWS and
Amazon Bedrock to measure real ROI and testing innovations gradually with their 3,000+ clients.

2- They work backwards from the customer

They know that the underlying technology isn’t what matters, it’s how it helps solve a business problem for the end user. And if it doesn’t, then it shouldn't be forced as the solution.

3- They understand culture and user psychology

Every organization is a bit different, and how they navigate different company structures, cultures, and technical maturities across regions is key to providing scalable value. 

SO...I’m working on some exciting new content with Ahmed and other key technical leaders in the region, exploring how these pioneers are striking the balance between autonomy and control when integrating agents into their platforms for this brave new world.
