-I helped write weekly TikTok content for a book of 15-20 clients
-I also assisted with creative and copywriting
-Strategy is included in that list with big picture planning

-Content creation 

I transitioned out of this role and into the Client Sucess Manager role after only two months with the company.

I helped improve and maintain micro-mobility systems in Northern Colorado. 

This was a passive income opportunity where the deployment strategy was key. Location was one of the most important parts of the job and the effective placement of scooters into areas where patrons would actually want to utilize them was vital. 

Other duties that I had included: maintenance and analyzing key performance indicators (KPI's) to ensure the vehicles were getting the proper amount of use.

I worked as a delivery driver transporting food-related goods, on-demand. 

Additionally, engaging in the safety of others through the proper handling of the customer product, helping to support restaurants throughout the Covid-19 pandemic and adding to a diverse Gig-Economy portfolio.

I worked as a drive-share transporter that valued safety above all else and adding a positive customer experience to every ride.

Additionally, helping patrons get safely all over town by maintaining a high-quality driving experience, keeping up on vehicle maintenance and always presenting a casual/professional image that helps put riders at ease and spark insightful conversation.

I utilized my interpersonal skills, sales know-how and knowledge of best marketing practices to help businesses find new customers, through in-app geo-targeted advertising.

I accomplished this by bringing together a community of food-related businesses to help people save money on everyday purchases and created organic engagement/immediate actions for clients that encouraged new/repeat traffic on a consistent basis.

More specifically I oversaw:

-Outreach (growing in-app food/drink offerings)
-Growth (bringing on new users to engage w/ restaurants)

I grew the app by downloads from 10.5k to 19k in a year and launched the subscription model growing it to roughly 3k in size in only a few months through events & word-of-mouth.

Additionally, I grew the content offering on the platform from 56 restaurants/bars to 78, this required some serious self-starter chops because I had no one else helping me along the way. I did all of the prospecting on my own, built their content after the sale and did events with them later on.

I assisted in the production of cell phone technology.

More specifically I worked in semi-conductor manufacturing, operating chemical vapor deposition equipment. In plain English, I created microscopic layers on a silicon wafer to allow for more advanced technology to be created on the computer chip. 

Additionally, I performed measurement steps to make sure the product was within specification limits for customers such as Apple and Samsung.

Another important duty was conducting qualifications on toolsets and handling product movement through efficient optimization of processes.

I make sweet tea for my family every day.  
 
It's my way of showing them that I love them.  
 
When my wife got pregnant she got thirsty.  
 
And I made it my personal mission to make sure she had plenty of drinks available to her.  
 
Sweet tea is a pinnacle part of any Southerner's refrigerator.  
 
Now that my daughter is almost 6 she's now the same way.

I'm changing things up big time with my entire social media strategy. 

Focusing hard on video content. 

Here's the thing... it's fun to make and fun to consume and I can't share the captions that I create here on other platforms (at least not ideally)

so short-form clips are the next big move for scalability plus every platform even LinkedIn has a short-form option that they're pushing. 

I'm going to start doing Lives on X, IG, and TT, maybe LI. 

I'll have my mic plugged in and I'll repurpose those interactions into short-form clips. 

Audience questions → become content. 

I'll then distribute those clips across all 4 of the previously mentioned platforms. 

Next... I'll be tripling down on my email strategy.

I briefly mentioned my slam poetry career the other day in a post so I figure it's high time you got an explanation.  
 
First, some context ↓ 
 
I witnessed slam poetry for the first time in Denver Colorado at the Mercury Cafe.  
 
Almost a decade ago.  
 
Andrea Gibson was performing.  
 
It was magic.  
 
I remember the mic, the sound, the lights, the way the room stopped and we all listened in to hear one person speak.  
 
Something awakened inside of me that night.  
 
"I will become one of those. I will stand on that stage one day and perform for other people just like this."  
 
And I did.  
 
I got started at my local coffee shop (that's where this picture is from) 
 
I'd show up as often as I could and in the beginning, it was rough.  
 
I stuttered, I mumbled and I struggled. 
 
But with time I figured it out.
 
I got 2nd place several times, I never won but I got through several heated competitions. 
 
I came to an important realization throughout the process... 
 
the audience doesn't want to hear a poem that only matters to you... it has to matter to them as well. 
 
The magic is when your perspective aligns with theirs or at least the judges who are grading your work and voting based on many factors.  
 
I didn't realize it at the time but this was my first lesson in copywriting.  
 
Most importantly what this did for me was it showed me what it felt like to have the mic.  
 
It sparked something inside me that I hadn't felt in years.  
 
Every post I publish, on every platform, is a little bit like a performance poem.  
 
I may not be screaming at you, I keep it pretty professional compared to my days slamming but... 
 
I always have a twinge of rebel yell, a slight bit of nihilism, a short fuse waiting to erupt, I never stopped being a slam poet... 
 
I just stand on a different stage and talk to a different crowd.

I love running niche-specific polls for my clients.  
 
 
 
Not just for that sweet dopamine hit but the engagement is insane!
 
Polls inspire plenty of dialogue.  
 
That's what's so great about them!  
 
And when there's engagement... that means my client starts talking.
 
Then I swoop in after the fact and turn that networking into content. 
 
Content that was ideated with real people, who are in their ICP.  
 
Killing multiple birds with one stone.

It's freaking awesome.
 
AI is great but real people, with real pain points, sharing them with you and then recreating those conversations into content... that's next level.

It's no surprise that the role Denzel Washington is most celebrated for is his most authentic.  
 
The grittiest 
The gnaliest 
The most graphic 
 
Okay, enough g words... you get it.  
 
Training Day.  
 
I haven't seen it but I was watching a YouTube analysis about this character and what it took for Denzel to take on this role and it's truly remarkable how much this pushed him as an actor.  
 
Up until Alonzo Harris he had never played anyone quite like this.  
 
And audiences loved it.  
 
They still do.  
 
This role still reverberates through cinematic culture to this day.  
 
And why should you care?  
 
Because of why this character stood out.  
 
Alonzo Harris was a believable character because of how human he truly was.  
 
A good guy who was doing bad things for the right reasons and eventually lost his way.  
 
When you finally take that leap and start building your brand  
 
Be like Denzel... skip the nonsense, go straight to the source, and create something that feels truly authentic.

I see these value propositions that say ↙ 
 
"Grow with video" 
 
And all I can read is: 
 
"Find useless awareness on Instagram."  
 
🙄 
🙄 
🙄 
 
And that's what a lot of social media agencies are offering.  
 
They think impressions are the only metric fueling growth and yes, it's a big part of it but it's NOT the only part.  
 
It's also incredibly difficult to predict/control. 
 
I don't like that. ✋ 
 
So why make it the focal point?  
 
The more I've done this, the more I realize... it takes so much homework to get it right. 
 
And even when you do your homework... you can still get it wrong.  
 
If you're building content just for awareness with absolutely no idea where you want to push those eyeballs... you're wasting your time and money.
